Today is Stroke Prevention Day and it’s crucial to remember that early recognition and action can save lives. That’s why our training courses focus on the powerful FAST acronym: Face drooping, Arm weakness, Speech difficulty, and Time to call emergency services.

Learning these signs and others such as sudden numbness, confusion, or severe headaches can make all the difference in a critical moment.

Our courses also cover long term reduction of risk factors such as high blood pressure and maintaining a healthy lifestyle which can make a significant difference.

Immediate action doesn’t just improve recovery—it saves lives. Don’t wait until it’s too late; educate yourself and your loved ones today.

Let’s take stroke prevention seriously—share this post is you’d like to help spread awareness or get in touch to book your training 🙏

Great news from Schools First Aid Training Service CIC receiving funding from CO-OP Community Funding and Aberdeen City Council's UDECIDE meaning more schools get supported 👏

🎉 We’ve got some AMAZING news to share! 🎉

We’re absolutely thrilled to announce that we’ve been awarded funding from not one, but TWO fantastic sources! 🙌

💙 First up – CO-OP Community Funding!
We were chosen by two CO-OP stores and CO-OP Funeral Services as their selected CIC, and thanks to all your votes, we’ve secured enough funding to support Skene Square Primary, Gilcomstoun Primary, and St Joseph’s Primary! 💪

💛 Next – Aberdeen City Council’s UDECIDE South and Central!
This funding means we can bring our work to even more schools across Torry, Kincorth, and Riverbank Primary. We’ve already kicked things off at Abbotswell Primary, where the kids absolutely smashed it — and even told us how much they loved the session! 🌟

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who voted, supported, and believed in what we do. Together, we’re making a difference in even more schools across our community! 💫

Hope you’re all having a great weekend folks! 🌍 Today is World Meningitis Day, a crucial reminder of the serious threat posed by this disease. Meningitis causes inflammation of the membranes surrounding the brain and spinal cord, and its impacts can be devastating. Early diagnosis and treatment are key to saving lives and reducing long-term disabilities.

Our first aid training includes essential information on how to recognise the early symptoms of meningitis and respond effectively. By spreading awareness and educating ourselves, we join global efforts to defeat meningitis by 2030.

Get in touch if you have any concerns about meningitis, we’re always happy to help and advise and our training is available should you wish to find out more.

Have a lovely day everyone, from all of us here at GTS
