This is a new charity very close to my heart!!! If you wish to contribute anything- however small, literally anything you can spare - to their efforts to raise funds to finance research into this very rare condition affecting children from birth then please give them a contribution!
This charity has been set up by families of affected children and it would be amazing to help them achieve their goal.
Thank you!

Hi to all my lovely families out there in lockdown! Hope you are all keeping safe and I know you are all busy with online schooling and your individual programs etc.
Call me whenever you want more activities for your programs and also if you think we can have some online fun. Promise I will join in all the activities on the screen so you can have a giggle whilst doing physio activities.
Lots of love to you all, miss you lots and can't wait until I can see you all in person again, big virtual hugs from Gudrun

It's International Dravet Syndrome Awareness Day! Here's 5 facts to share to help spread the word about Dravet Syndrome. Feel free to share. XX

1) Dravet Syndrome is a life-limiting epilepsy that affects around 1 in 15,000 children and adults in the UK.
2) Dravet Syndrome first appears in early childhood, with prolonged, severe and recurrent seizures. The average age of onset is around 5 months, but can occur between one & 15 months
3) Children with Dravet Syndrome are at high-risk of potentially life-threatening seizures or SUDEP (Sudden Unexpected Death in Epilepsy) and need 24/7 monitoring
4 )Dravet Syndrome is more than seizures; it is a spectrum condition with varying degrees of learning disability, autism, and potential difficulties with mobility, speech, feeding and sleep
5 )Dravet Syndrome is under-diagnosed or sometimes misdiagnosed as a different type of epilepsy. Early and accurate diagnosis is important to get the right treatments in place (some epilepsy meds don’t work or can make seizures worse)
