Looks like I'm finally getting my hernia sorted (again).
Sat waiting for a CT scan today.
Hopefully surgery date won't be to far away.

Good evening all. So I have started using my website again and I will be updating it more regularly from now on with my new adventures and my life with my stoma. If my story can help one person then its all worth it.

Im a dad living with a stoma and had suffered with UC. I had a sub total colectomy and a proctectomy i want to raise awarness and show that life does not stop when you live with a bag

Don't you just hate that feeling when you are at work and you feel the seal come away from your skin, knowing iv got about 2 mins to get my supplies and get to the loo before all hell breaks loose.... 🤣..... sorted now but I do hate it that.

So tonight at my daughters cubs group I did a talk about my stoma and life with a bag for their disability badge. I showed them my different bags and used some pictures from kids health website to show them what a stoma is. What a brilliant night and some of the questions from the kids were amazing.

This song really hits me. My stoma will not stop me from living my life. It won't stop me being a dad, husband or a friend but THIS IS ME.
It's part of me and it always will be.

All ready for surgery tomorrow, finally get this parastomal hernia sorted and got my new belt thanks to my wonderful wife for purchasing it for me from Mr Colitis Crohns. Looking forward to wearing a belt designed by a fellow ostomate.
