📢Important Update shared with us.

Oldham Council and the Greater Manchester Integrated Care Board have been notified that an Area SEND Monitoring Visit will be taking place across the Local Area Partnership from Monday 24 November to Wednesday 26 November 2025. This inspection will be conducted jointly by Ofsted and the Care Quality Commission (CQC) consisting of three inspectors.

The focus of the Area SEND Monitoring Visit will be to assess the extent to which the Local Area Partnership has taken effective action to address the areas for priority action, which the partnership has been delivering to improve SEND provision in Oldham, following the Area SEND Inspection in June 2023. The inspection team may have discussions with children and young people, parents, and carers.

For further information, the guidance documents can be found at the below link which provide information on what to expect during an Area SEND inspection and these are also available in Easy Read and BSL.

As parents and carers ourselves, we know that finding the right support and information can sometimes feel overwhelming. To make things easier, we’ve created a set of PADLETS — online noticeboards where you’ll find helpful resources, and tips, and links all in one place.

Each Padlet has a different theme, so you can quickly find what’s most useful for you and your family.

These are regularly reviewed.

You can explore them by scanning the QR code or by clicking the links below.

We’re also putting together a new Support Offer to help guide you while you’re waiting to access services. It should be ready next week!
