Good afternoon,
New Placement Details: Female Carer in Chester
We are pleased to confirm a new placement opportunity for a female carer based in Chester. The individual requiring care is currently living with early dementia and type 2 diabetes, which is managed through medication and insulin.
Mobility and Personal Care
He is able to mobilize with the assistance of one person and uses a zimmer frame for support. Prior to a recent hospital admission, he was largely independent with personal care. However, going forward, support will be required for personal care tasks, with a focus on encouraging the client to maintain as much independence as possible.
The carer is responsible for ensuring that the client’s clothes are changed daily and that a shower is provided every other day. At present, he is wearing pads but retains the ability to use the toilet as needed, provided there is appropriate support.
Medication and Health Monitoring
The carer will be responsible for administering prescribed medication, ensuring accurate dosage and timely delivery.
Companionship and Social Support
The carer should actively support social activities and provide companionship. The client enjoys going for daily walks, and this activity should be encouraged as part of the daily routine.
Domestic Duties
Daily domestic responsibilities include supporting all aspects of daily living. The beds are to be changed once a week, and laundry should be completed as required. Ironing is also expected as part of the carer’s role. Additionally, the carer should ensure that bins are moved from the back garden to the driveway according to the household’s schedule.
Food Shopping and Allowance
The carer is to oversee the online food shop and ensure that the food allowance is incorporated into the weekly shopping arrangements.
Breaks and Additional Information
The carer is entitled to a two-hour break each day. There are no pets present in the property.
Rate of pay: £780.08 PAYE (Self employed rates are higher)
Food allowance: £30
Thank you,
Charlotte
