Nasolabial folds/marionette lines dermal filler 💉

This is my lovely model from my recent training day with the fabulous . Some of you may recognise her 👀 say nothing girls!

This was quite a difficult case but I felt as though I was able to achieve a subtle improvement in the appearance of the nasolabial folds (nose to mouth lines) and marionetteines (jowls/mouth to jaw lines).

Teoxane RHA 1 dermal filler was placed into the areas treated using a cannula. The experience was slightly uncomfortable, but not painful, I’m told!

It was important in this case to manage this lady’s expectations. For a number of reasons, we were never going to totally ‘cure’ these areas of concern, rather we would be able to subtlely improve them.

Nasolabial folds and marionette lines are common areas of concern as we age, as the underlying bony structure resorbs and the relevant fad pads hypertrophy (grow) causing the tissue to fall forward and cause the appearance of folds and shadows on the face in these areas. It’s a tricky area to treat, to ensure that the area doesn’t look overly filled which can be a giveaway and isn’t the most aesthetically pleasing look!
