After a lot of reflection, I want to share that my final yoga class will take place on Tuesday 17 December. After that, I’ll be stepping away from yoga teaching completely, and this page — along with my other yoga pages — will be taken down shortly afterwards.
Most of you here have been with me for years. Some of you since the early days at the start of the last decade , some through Zoom in lockdown, some in the Bamboo Loft, and many in those quiet early-morning classes when the world was still half asleep. It has been one of the great privileges of my life to teach you, to move with you, and to witness how yoga has supported so many of you through change, challenge, loss and renewal.
As many of you know, over this past year my life has been pulled more deeply into the work of protecting the Sperrins. Working on the ground here has opened my eyes to the wider truth: the pressures facing this landscape are playing out in communities and ecosystems across the planet.
For me, the next chapter is karma yoga in its most practical form: offering my time and energy to the place and people who shaped me, and doing what I can to stand for clean air, clean water and healthy land.
Thank you for your trust, your kindness, and your steady presence over the years. I carry all of it forward.

This Week’s Theme:The Feet — Roots of Being
As the earth cools and we begin to turn inward, this week we start a new 8 week series exploring the body as landscape — beginning where it all begins: with the feet.
The feet carry our stories of balance and belonging. They root us to the ground, sense our direction, and hold the quiet intelligence of stability and trust.
Through movement, breath and rest, we’ll explore how reconnecting with the ground beneath us can bring a deeper steadiness to body and mind.

• Morning Reset – Tuesday, Thursday & Friday 7.30am (optional meditation at 7.10am)

This week at the Loft our theme is “Strength with Softness.”�It’s so easy to think of strength as pushing or bracing, but often our deepest resilience comes when we balance steadiness with gentleness.
In practice this means strong foundations — feet rooted, breath steady — while also softening the shoulders, the jaw, the heart.�It’s about discovering that strength and softness are not opposites, but companions.

🌗 Autumn Equinox Classes at The Loft 🌗
This week we turn towards the Autumn Equinox — a time of balance, reflection and gentle transition. As light and dark meet in equal measure, our practice invites us to steady the breath, soften into strength, and find ease in rest.

I’m back teaching from Monday 1st September ✨

September is the perfect time to settle back into routine – steady, simple, nourishing.
This month’s schedule:

Monday – Yoga Basics, 7–8 pm (Studio & Zoom)
Tuesday – Morning Reset, 7:30–8 am (Zoom or Studio)
Wednesday – Somatics & Yoga Nidra, 7–8:15 pm ( Zoom or Studio)
Thursday – Morning Reset, 7:30–8 am (Zoom or Studio)
Friday – Morning Reset, 7:30–8 am (Zoom or Studio)

✨ A little heads-up: from October I’ll be moving to a simpler booking system – one Zoom link and direct payment (no more apps). I’ll share more details later in September.

🎨🌿 Telling Your Story – Creative Workshops for 55+ 🌿🎶

We’re delighted to welcome a new series of creative workshops at Bamboo Loft Yoga Studio, Glenhordial, Omagh — specially designed for those aged 55 and over who want to express themselves through words, music, art and nature.

Led by creative facilitator Briege McClean, these free sessions are all about connection, creativity and community. Whether you’re a lifelong storyteller or just curious to try something new, you’ll be supported to have a go, share your story, and enjoy the wisdom, laughter and insight that comes from gathering together.
