Meet our consultant 👋 – Mr John McAllister Consultant, Orthopaedic Surgeon.

Mr John (Jack) McAllister is an experienced general orthopaedic and lower limb surgeon who offers treatment for all orthopaedic conditions and particularly those of hip and knee. He qualified in medicine at the London Hospital in Whitechapel in 1983 and subsequent specialist surgical training was at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, Stanmore where he gained extensive experience in many areas of orthopaedic surgery. John obtained his Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons in 1990 and his FRCS (Orth) in 1997. He has carried out research and been actively involved in the teaching and training of juniors. During spare time he has worked as a ship’s doctor and in aeromedical repatriation. He was revalidated by the GMC in November 2015.
He was appointed Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon in 1998 at the Princess Royal University Hospital Farnborough, with particular expertise in hip replacement and revision arthroplasty. He has expertise in traumatic and degenerative conditions of the knee as well as paediatric orthopaedic conditions. He sees patients with back pain, sports injuries and Children. John is a member of several professional bodies including the Royal College of Surgeons and Royal Society of Medicine. Outside work his hobbies include sailing, skiing and cycling.

Meet our consultant 👋 – Mr Mohit Bansal, Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon.

Mr Bansal is a Consultant Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon specializing in hip and knee surgery. He has special interest in treating wide range of hip and knee conditions including arthritis, sports injuries, and trauma.

His NHS base is Princess Royal University Hospital and Orpington Hospital. He has also worked as a Consultant at Guy’s and St Thomas Hospital managing patients with complex knee pathologies. Orpington hospital is a purpose built elective orthopaedic center where he performs high volume routine elective hip and knee surgery. His area of interest is day case arthroplasty surgery, pre-habilitation before surgery, improving pain management in lower limb surgery and improving patient outcome by incorporating shared decision making and better patient understanding of the condition. He constantly thrives to improve patient care by participating in ongoing research and has received some of the best patient outcomes and feedback.
After completing his training, he undertook internationally acclaimed fellowships at Queens Medical Centre, Nottingham in Trauma, and Soft Tissue Knee surgery as well as Lower Limb Arthroplasty/joint preservation fellowship at Royal National Orthopaedic Centre, Stanmore.
His areas of interest include Partial (Uni) Knee Replacement, Total Knee Replacement (Primary and Revision), Total Hip Replacement (Primary and Revision), Knee Joint Preservation Procedures (PRP/Stem Cells, Osteotomies, Cartilage procedures) and Sports injuries (Meniscal Repair, Ligament Repair/Reconstruction)
He is actively involved in improving the patient experience including implementing enhanced recovery, optimizing pain management and better pre-operative and post-operative rehabilitation.

Meet our consultant 👋 – Mr Jonathan Walczak Consultant Orthopaedic & Trauma Surgeon.

Mr. Jonathan Walczak is a Consultant Orthopaedic and Trauma Surgeon at Chelsfield Park, Shirley Oaks and Sloane Hospitals. He was born in London and embarked on his medical journey at Guys Hospital Medical School, where he trained from 1981 to 1987. He further honed his expertise through post-graduate training, achieving a specialist fellowship in Hip Surgery in 1998, just before the start of his consultant career. This specialised training laid the groundwork for his future accomplishments and dedication to patient care. A distinguished Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England, Mr. Walczak also holds membership in the prestigious British Orthopaedic Association (BOA). These affiliations reflect his commitment to maintaining high standards in the field of orthopaedics and staying ahead of the latest advancements and best practices.

Meet our consultant 👋 – Mr Max Edwards Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon.

Mr Max Edwards is a Consultant Orthopaedic surgeon who specialises in disorders of the adult knee and hip. He qualified from St George’s Hospital and undertook his specialist training in Orthopaedics at some of London’s finest teaching hospitals. After completing his general Orthopaedic training he spent a year in Toronto, Canada on an advanced fellowship learning the latest techniques in knee and hip surgery.
Alongside his busy NHS practice, Max also has an interest in medical education and research. He has published his research widely in some of the world’s best Orthopaedic journals. He provides a personal and professional service, working closely with an expert group of dedicated physiotherapists and orthotists to maximize patient outcomes whether or not surgery is required.
