When we feel sick or stuck, it becomes incredibly hard to notice anything positive. Looking up feels impossible — seeing the bigger picture, finding the brighter side, feeling motivated, having the energy to do what needs to be done, or believing that things can get better.

Living with a chronic condition is tough. Our sense of “normal” shifts, and over time we start accepting things that once would have felt completely unacceptable — whether the struggle is physical, mental, or emotional.

I want to offer you a bit of hope. In my practice, I’ve witnessed it again and again: that shift in energy when remedies begin to make a difference. Because we don’t just focus on one symptom — we support the whole person.

If you feel stuck, consider giving homeopathy a try. I say this because I’ve been in a similar place myself, and homeopathy changed my life.

If you’d like to talk, I offer a free 15‑minute, no‑obligation call where you can ask any questions. And if you decide it’s not for you, that’s absolutely fine. Just know that there are other options, and many ailments CAN shift.

One of my patients was a homeless man in his sixties. He carried everything he owned with him, and most of his energy went into day-to-day survival and meeting his basic needs, yet he was one of the most aware, grounded, and switched‑on people I’ve ever met.

He came to our clinic for homeopathy and reflexology, visited other free clinics like osteopathy, used essential oils, researched every remedy he was given, and didn’t drink or smoke. He knew his body better than many people with every resource at their fingertips. Even when talking about the food at the Shelter, he understood exactly how it affected him—he just didn’t have other options.

I treated his old injuries, supported his digestion, and gave him remedies to help him sleep in the chaos of shared accommodation or outdoors. He was so grateful for our monthly sessions; they gave him a sense of stability, something in his calendar that reminded him he was taking care of himself in the ways he could.

Then he told me he wanted to help other homeless people access this kind of support. That moved me deeply.

He wasn’t broken. He wasn’t weak. He wasn’t lost.

He was doing his best—caring for himself and thinking of others despite everything.

I didn’t know his full story (as he usually sees my colleague) but I left that session feeling inspired. And I hope that one day, in not-so-distant future, we can open another local clinic and reach even more people.

The Grenfell Side By Side clinic started as a charity project in response to the Grenfell tower disaster helping and supporting survivors and their families. It now continues to run as a low cost clinic to support the most vulnerable community of North Kensington. https://www.dalgarnotrust.org.uk/

Earlier this week, my son had one of his baby teeth extracted. There was a large cavity; we had repaired the tooth a few times, but the filling always fell out, and the dentist was concerned about infection. Fine. I’m not a fan of unnecessary procedures and try to avoid them as much as possible, but I accepted this one since the adult tooth was already on its way.

My son did really well. After the procedure, the dentist recommended stocking up on paracetamol, ibuprofen, Calpol—whatever we had at home (as long as it wasn’t aspirin, as it can interfere with blood clotting which is needed to stop the bleeding). We went home, and the first thing I gave him was ARNICA 200C. Arnica is a must‑have remedy for any dental work—I use it routinely in situations like this. There’s always some bruising and trauma after an extraction, and one of the classic signs that Arnica is needed is when the patient keeps saying, “I’m fine, don’t worry, I’m OK,” which my son actually did.

I also gave him STAPHYSAGRIA 200C, as this remedy is often used for trauma from bodily invasion (such as surgery or tooth extraction). And that was it. I put a few pills of each remedy into a bottle of water, shook it, and let him sip it throughout the evening while he rested.

When the anaesthetic wore off, he was absolutely fine—no more bleeding and no pain—so he didn’t need anything else. He’s just rinsing his mouth with salty water as the dentist recommended.

There are so many remedies that can support dental issues: • For anxiety before going to the dentist: ACONITE, GELSEMIUM, ARG‑NIT, CHAMOMILLA, PHOSPHORUS • For recovery from dental work: ARNICA, STAPHYSAGRIA, HYPERICUM, CALENDULA • For excessive bleeding that doesn’t stop: PHOSPHORUS • For pain: CHAMOMILLA, RUTA, HYPERICUM, GUN POWDER and more.

There are many more remedies to consider for dry socket, abscesses, bleeding gums/gingivitis, toothache, and more—though these require careful prescribing by a professional homeopath.

Remember, there are always natural options that work beautifully.

It’s my birthday today and I’m full of gratitude, love, and appreciation. I am so thankful for my beautiful friends who always make an extra effort to make my birthday special, and for my amazing family, near and far, for all the messages and phone calls I received.
And last but not least, thank you to my beautiful kids and my darling husband (who actually shares the same birthday, so we always celebrate together!) for your love and support. Thank you for being my homeopathy guinea pigs from the very start, allowing me to learn on you, and for being my rock and biggest cheerleaders! ❤️

Fight. Flight. Freeze.
These aren’t choices — they’re automatic responses of the sympathetic nervous system when we perceive threat.
In this video, one cat goes into fight (screaming, posturing), while the other goes into freeze — becoming still, quiet, almost invisible.
What many people don’t realize is that humans can live in these states for months or years.
An abusive relationship.
A bullying or unpredictable boss.
Growing up in constant tension.
Never knowing when the next outburst is coming.
Last week, for different reasons, I spoke to three people about the sympathetic response — and it struck me how often people are living in survival mode without even knowing it.
When the nervous system stays “on” for too long, the body and mind adapt to stress as normal.
That’s when exhaustion, anxiety, numbness, chronic tension, or feeling stuck can appear.
This is where homeopathy can be incredibly supportive — not as a quick fix, but as a way to help the system release, regain clarity, and find the internal resources to recover and/or take action to leave an unhealthy situation.
Because no one is meant to live their life in fight, flight, or freeze.
💭 Which response do you recognize most — in yourself?

I went for an afternoon tea with 8 of my very good friends yesterday. We all dressed up and spent the whole afternoon/evening together. We laughed, we cried, we talked, we shared, we planned (our next adventure)…And although I didn’t have the most nutritious food, far too much sugar and one or two too many glasses of alcohol, it was really good for my health. Never underestimate the power of connection and the power of relationships. They are hugely important. They make you feel like you belong, they lessen anxiety, they lessen loneliness, they make you feel loved, cared for, appreciated. They help your mental as well as your physical health as your hormonal system will react by releasing oxytocin, serotonin, endorphins and dopamine. These hormones will switch your system into the safe and happy parasympathetic state where stress hormones are lowered and everything works well. Build good relationships to stay healthy and happy. Choose your relationships wisely-listen to your gut feelings (key: good relationship will increase your energy!) This video is from the DOAC podcast with Dr Anna Machin - highly recommended.
