High pollen levels, hot weather and thunderstorms are all forecast over the next few days. These are common triggers for asthma, so it is important to take precautions to avoid an asthma attack:

⚠️Grass pollen levels will be HIGH or VERY HIGH across the country. Make sure you take your hay fever medicines, such as antihistamines and/or a nasal spray as normal.
🌡️Temperatures could peak at 28°C in the south-east of England. Remember to take your preventer inhaler every day, as prescribed, and always keep your reliever inhaler (usually blue) close to you.
🌩️A thunderstorm alert is in place for most of England and Wales. Thunderstorms can cause pollen to break up into smaller particles. When breathed in, these can irritate the smaller airways of the lungs. If you know thunderstorms affect you, try staying indoors before, during and after the storm.

The NHS COVID-19 app is a contact tracing app, which also lets you check in to places like bars and restaurants.
