Happy International Women’s Day!

Here’s to all the strong, inspirational women in the world.

However, this gap closes with age, and the normal progression of wear and tear on the ears.

Over 50% of people over the age of 60 have some hearing loss, and this rises to around 75% of people over the age of 70.

Meet your audiologist 😀🦻

My name is Laura Stone, I live in Oswestry with my husband and 3 children & I’ve been a HCPC registered hearing aid dispenser since 2017.

I qualified with a distinction at Anglia Ruskin University, Cambridge in 2017, and in 2018 completed microsuction ear wax removal training at Aston University in Birmingham.

Since qualifying, I've worked in independent hearing clinics across Shropshire, Cheshire and North Wales, and held a senior role with a national chain.

I opened Cambrian Hearing Ltd in February 2024, providing all aspects of hearing care from our beautiful clinic at 1 Old Chapel Court, Oswestry - or if you can't come to us, we'll come to you.

I’m a hearing aid wearer myself so know first hand how it feels to learn you have hearing loss (my husband was definitely not as surprised as I was by this news!) and what it’s like to wear hearing aids on a daily basis.

Those with good memories may recall that we sponsored some kit for the U8 Dragons football team last year at Oswestry Boys & Girls Club. They are holding a fundraiser on Saturday 28th June, facilities and coaches are fantastic, and the money raised is going towards improving the ground further.
