After receiving cruel comments since starting school for being skinny (not by choice) I piled on the pounds after an early menopause. Shortly after this I slipped a disc and within a year had gone up 4 dresses sizes. My physiotherapist told me to go away and lose weight. Wow - those words hurt me. Iron carries oxygen around your body and supports cell production, creating energy.

Iron deficiency is miserable. You feel so tired, you're prone to infections, suffer with breathing issues, your nails and hair feel brittle and you may look pale.

It may not immediately be diagnosed as you find other reasons for feeling the way you do.

The daily reference intake of Iron is determined by age, s*x, diet and life stage.

The 1:1 Diet is nutritionally balanced and when on plan boosts your nutritional status.

As dieters take back control of everyday eating be aware of the signs of deficiency.

Here are some ideas on how to include Iron in everyday eating.

✨️Breakfast - porridge Oats with seeds/ nuts or Eggs either scrambled poached, or omelette

✨️Lunch - Tuna or Egg salad or Lentil and Spinach Soup

✨️Dinner - Salmon or Poultry including leafy greens or Beef Stir-Fry.

✨️Combine plant-based Iron with Vitamin C to improve absorption

✨️ Avoid consuming Dairy drinks as this can inhibit absorption

There is always Sparkle here, as my baby is called Sparkle (and petrified of Fireworks).

But this is to all my slimmers on plan as you are sparkle every day.

This diet is not about perfection or a quick fix. It really is about unwrapping a new you.

It is about flexing to suit your goals and that is why I love helping you. Everyone is individual and unique.

I worked in the corporate world since 16 years old, looking after major clients and middle management.

After getting ill, burning out and going from a size 8 to a size 18 I was lost.

I has never had to worry about a calorie in my life, except trying to eat MORE to stop me losing weight. That was how my metabolism was.

The 1:1 Diet changed my life.

It helped me lose weight and I maintained it easily from 2013 to 2021.

Since then I do have to be careful with what I eat and am very aware of my habits.

The diet changed my life dramatically by letting me share this incredible plan with others and seeing them to achieve their dreams.

Being a diet consultant allows me to work at home, so my fur babies are not left.

Plus it gave me freedom to walk away from the stress of being employed, in a job I did not like.

Staying active this Autumn and Winter.

No everybody likes the gym but that doesn't have to mean you miss out on exercise.

This could actually be fun and rewarding!

Some ideas to keep moving are:

On a dry, crisp sunny day explore local trails. It’s a great way to enjoy nature and get some exercise.

Use online free videos for exercises, yoga, or Pilates. Find the one that suits your fitness level.

Pop on your favourite music and dance around your living room! Singing is uplifting too.

There are usually things to do in the garden. Raking leaves, planting seeds, digging over or a general tidy up. Getting daylight is a fantastic boost for our circadian rhythm.

Consider activities like cycling, swimming, or even playing with your dogs in the yard or at the park.

Use resistance bands or household items like water bottles for simple strength exercises.

Even a good deep clean, declutter or DIY will get you moving and active.

Setting yourself goal and aiming for 30 minutes of activity a day can help keep you motivated.
