Psychological Professions Week 2025 will be held Monday 10th - Friday 14th November. It is a national event, led by the Psychological Professions Network (PPN), to celebrate and highlight the work of psychological professions in the NHS. Its purpose is to raise public awareness of psychological services, recognize the impact of psychological work, promote careers in the field, and foster professional networking and collaboration.

National Play in Healthcare Week 2025 🎈
This week we join in celebrating 50 years of Play — recognising the vital role that the play team have in supporting the children and young people in our care 🎉

We recognise that for babies, children and young people, play in healthcare can:

🌟 Reduce anxiety during treatments
🌟 Help children understand their care and diagnosis
🌟 Support recovery and emotional wellbeing
🌟 Support mental health
🌟 Provide a safe space
🌟 Provide normality in an unfamiliar environment

We have lots of exciting activities going on to help celebrate the event throughout the week. We will also be sharing some of the work we have done so far in 2025!

Today is World Mental Health Day. This year's theme is 'access to services - mental health in catastrophes and emergencies'. The theme highlights the importance of people being able to protect their mental health in times of global instability.

World Mental Health Day is celebrated every year on 10 October. The theme is set by the World Federation of Mental Health.
