How are you doing? …

… at OMG we really want to know, most people just say “yeah I’m good, you?” But all too often it hides the fact that you’re not ok, things are tough at the moment and it’s difficult to manage.

It’s not always easy to talk to friends and family, but don’t bottle up, come to the Otley Men’s Group because we really do want to know how you are doing …

Laugh, cry, vent or just be. You don’t have to be in crisis to attend, don’t be shy please come join us as and when you like, no expectations friendly women here for you EVERY Wednesday night 7-9pm, rain or shine, all year round.

A FREE, friendly, community safe space invites Women of our town and surrounding areas, who may enjoy some face-to-face positive social interactions with peers. Helping ease loneliness, low mood or lack of opportunity to make new connections.

Take time out …

… mental health is not all about crisis management, we all need to take some time out to look after ourselves on a regular basis.

Over time the pressure’s of life can catch up with us, gradually building tension, anxiety and stress.

A good way of countering this is to talk about your situation, how you are coping and how you feel about it and this can be done at the Otley Men’s Group meetings.

We meet Tuesday nights in Otley, and is 100% free to attend. Any man (18+) experiencing poor mental health or loneliness is very welcome, you can expect a hot drink, biscuits and supportive chat.

We all know that NHS resources are stretched and that private services can be expensive, but if talking will help, and it will, come down and see us at the Otley Men’s Group, we are here every week and there is no charge or commitment.

Urgent help needed …

Hi Folks, this is an unusual request from OMG but an important and urgent one.

A member of our group needs to find a new place to live, as the landlord is selling the HMO (house of multiple occupancy) he has been living in for several years. We are appealing on his behalf to find an HMO, bedsit or a room that he can rent, preferably long term.
