We are recruiting a Care Manager to work within our adult care management team.

We are looking for an energetic and caring individual who wants to make a difference to people’s lives. If you want to support staff to enjoy their work in order to ensure older people and others with care needs live full and happy lives then this may be the role for you.

Tasks include supporting care staff and co-ordinating care worker schedules, assessing clients’ care needs and making sure needs are met. You will have the support of the care staff training team.

The care we provide can include helping with any specialist medical needs, or providing support and companionship to people with long term conditions.

Our head office is in our Oxford office in Marston, but split working based in Newbury office could be possible.

A full Enhanced DBS check is required. Own transport essential.

Crossroads Care is a registered charity with a long history of providing quality care services for children and adults in Oxfordshire, Berkshire, and the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead.

We provide fully paid training which will include a Safeguarding Course and any specialist courses to fully equip you with the knowledge and skills to care for our clients.

Today, the 11th November 2025, is Armistice Day, which marks the end of the First World War.

There will be a national two-minute silence at 11am today – the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month, in remembrance of all those who have been lost to war.

For those of you who will be working with us this morning, we would like to offer you the opportunity to observe this silence where your duties allow.

Our service users may also wish to observe the silence, and we will respect their wishes wherever possible.

Living with a parent with a severe mental illness can have a huge impact on children. Parental mental health concerns have now overtaken domestic abuse as the most common factor in children’s social care assessments. Children with a parent with a mental illness are significantly more likely to go on to have a mental illness themselves and parental mental illness is also consistently identified as a theme when children are seriously harmed or die.

Despite this only about a third of mental health professionals in inpatient settings ask whether a patient is a parent – and so too often these children are invisible.

A small change could make a huge difference. Amendment NC27 of the Mental Health Bill would help identify and support children caring for a parent with severe mental illness.

The problem with having loyal and caring staff who stay in the job with us for many years is that it is tricky to replace them when they finally move on. At Crossroads some of our care workers have worked with us for over 35 years. Many of the children's team become part of the family and stay caring for children as they grow into young adults.

Hence this post with a request to share it with your network!

We are urgently looking for a care worker to join our children's care team. It would primarily be to support a boy aged 10 years who lives with his family and young siblings in the Banbury area. He is a generally happy boy with complex and special needs. We are looking for someone with energy and a caring nature to fit in with him and his family to maintain his busy lifestyle - going to school and other activities.

There are some nursing type tasks required which would need nurse training. The individual we are looking for needs to have a calm manner and be able to respond to non verbal cues and in an emergency. Hence the pay rate of £16.49 per hour basic.

Previous experience working with children with complex needs is a must as care is complex. Driving license required.

Term time hours 8am-4pm Tues-Friday, hours during holidays may vary. We can offer full time work with other children to make a full time contract.

We are looking to fill this position asap so the family can help choose and get to know possible recruits.

If you know anyone who might fit the bill please let them know about us :)

Thankyou so much for sharing.
