Another busy week in clinic - tennis elbow, knee pain, planter fasciitis, neck pain and lower back pain were some of painful conditions people came to see me with this week. With Bowen therapy we look at the body as a whole, recognising where the pain is for a client may not be where their problem is.

Can Bowen help all of these things ? Yes it can and it does on a regular basis. This week in clinic has seen me mainly helping clients with knee and neck pain. There is nothing better than seeing the look of surprise on a clients face when they suddenly realise they can move agein what was tight and painful. Another happy client seen at clinic this morning.
Came along for first treatment last week having had pain in shoulder blade area which had progressed over two or three weeks and was now giving her abdominal spasms. She was taking lots of pain relief which wasn’t helping, was struggling with sleeping had visited a chiropractor a couple of times as well which hadn’t made any difference.
Feedback this morning “ I was pain free as soon as I left your clinic last week. I’ve taken no pain medication at all and even did some gardening yesterday. People keep asking me about the treatment I have had and I have found it difficult to explain how a light touch therapy could have had such a profound effect”.

Just two examples over the last couple of days of the positive effects of Bowen. I’ve had a niggling back for a few days which was restricting some movements in yoga. I gave my husband instructions on where to do a few rolling movements on my back. Within a few hours even though I’d had a two hour drive my back pain was gone

This morning at my daughters she had been complaining of hamstring pain after a recent run which had started in her hip and moved to the back on her thigh. A few Bowen moves and an hour later she was so surprised and at first hadn’t noticed her pain was gone.

Great result with a new client last week. She had been suffering with a bad back for about two months and had tried physio, exercise and painkillers but nothing was helping. She came to see me for Bowen as a last resort as she’s going on a walking holiday in a couple of weeks and was seriously thinking she was going to have to cancel.
Structural assessment showed 10kgs heavier on one side.
Back this week for a further treatment. Pain has gone, just a little tightness remaining across her lower back and the scales now showing just 1kg difference.
The power of Bowen never ceases to amaze and surprise me.
