The right type of tests can be really, really powerful.

Rest and sleep were not the only things that were a game changer to my health.

The right testing did.

I’m saying this from my own journey.

Things stopped going according to my plan.

My body couldn’t support doing more and I couldn’t afford to take a day off and just hope my body would recover on its own.

That’s when I decided to test properly.

The data showed me the truth:
I was pushing far beyond what my body could handle.

Data doesn’t lie.

Once I understood what needed support,
I knew where to improve and I did.

My health changed.

My energy changed.

Everything became better.

Guessing keeps you stuck. Clarity moves you forward.

Stop guessing and hoping everything will be fine and the body will sort itself out next week.

Do you buy supplements without really looking, just because a top influencer is shouting about them or you've seen ads after ads?

Pause for a moment.

Before spending your hard-earned money, check the quality.

Check the results.

Check who is actually behind the product.

Sometimes, the loudest voices aren’t the most trustworthy; they’re just paid to be loud.

Your money isn’t meant to fund influencer collaborations.

It’s meant to support your health.

Do your research.

Ask better questions.

Invest wisely.

7 years ago today, I sat in my living room with a laptop and set up The Gut Intuition.

I had no business plan mapped out for it
No audience or website set up
No certainty about how it would all work
I was still healing from my own gut problems at the time

I just knew I needed to start and just trust that clarity would come through action.

7 years on, I’m incredibly proud of what TGI has become.

Navigated a global pandemic which was a crazy time that came with a lot of uncertainty
Wrote a bestselling book
Shared the gut health message through podcasts, radio, magazines and media
Collaborated with inspiring people and learned hard lessons when values didn’t align
Won Best Health & Wellbeing Facility in Greater London (2023)
And grown a business that supports people from all walks of life to truly understand their bodies inside out

But more than any milestone, the biggest evolution has been internal for me.

The more I’ve grown mentally, emotionally, and physically, the deeper The Gut Intuition has grown too.

Because I believe you can only take people as far as you’re willing to go yourself.

Some of the biggest lessons I've learnt in the last 7 years have been:

🙏 Consistency beats intensity every time and good for your nervous system too

🙏 Shortcuts always cost more in the long run

🙏 Your health will either support your success or quietly sabotage it

🙏 Growth requires many honest conversations with your body and with yourself

🙏 The right people make everything lighter; misaligned values make everything harder

🙏 Take your time when it comes to working with people and be protective of what you've built or are building for the right reasons

🙏 Regardless of the outcome or whether it's wrong or right, just have your own back and trust your decisions

🙏 Standing tall in your values matters more than trying to be loud

A huge thank you to the incredible practitioners past and present who’ve poured their hearts into this work.

And deep gratitude to every client who trusted us with their health because that trust is never taken lightly.

Here’s to the next chapter.🙌

I still remember the exact street I learned to ride a bike all those years.

I remember the wall i was about to crash into and fall off my bike and then somehow found balance.

And i distinctly remember that incredible feeling of not just just “look mum & dad I can ride a bike now”.

It was more freedom, joy, confidence. Proof that if I put my mind to it, I could do anything.

So so liberating

Fast forward to yesterday: a 22-mile ride from Padstow 👉 Wadebridge 👉 Bodmin 👉 back again. (Thank you to Padstow Cycle Hire) 🙌

And it reminded me of a few things we all probably need to hear:

Your inner child still needs letting out
Fix the bike that’s been sitting in the garage
Don't forget the cycling shorts next time 🤣
Movement doesn’t need to be complicated

The best bit is your gut bugs actually love it when you move. They respond to your lifestyle!

Cycling, walking, swimming whatever it literally helps them thrive.

Movement is medicine and sometimes it is just absolute pure joy too!

Standing by this waterfall today reminded me that the body knows how to cleanse and renew if only we give it the chance and the space to do so...

In many ways, a healthy gut is like a waterfall... when everything flows, energy is abundant. But when there's a blockage upstream then everything changes

Waterfalls don't force, they just flow.

Maybe health is the same where it's about less forcing and more aligning

“I just need more clarity before I really start sorting my health out…”

Here’s what I see underneath that sentence:

A part of you knows you’re ready…

But your mind is still trying to gather enough evidence to feel safe.

“Once I’m clear on the perfect diet, the right time, the best practitioner, the best probiotic supplements… then I’ll start.”

The truth is, clarity rarely comes before action.

It comes from it.

From booking the call.

From starting the conversation.

From being willing to get curious instead of trying to control it all in advance or feeling you have to be in control all of the time...

Here are my 5 lessons that hiking 8 hours in the heat at Box Hill taught me recently:

1. Your body knows.

It’ll tell you when to push and when to pause.
The last hour was brutal! It seemed like as the day went on it just got hotter and hotter! However I trusted my pace and didn’t push past the line. That was the win for me.

2. Leadership doesn’t always look loud.

Sometimes it’s just one foot in front of the other, steady and unseen. Climbing mountains and various hiking trails taught me this. No drama, just momentum to keep going.

3. Rest isn’t some reward, it’s part of the work.

Monday morning came and my energy tanked. Of course the old narrative creeped in around guilt and that I should be doing more. Yet I had to listen to my body and not try and force “productivity.” I napped. I did less on the digital and just moved and stretched my body for recovery. And funnily enough… business still flowed in.

4. You’re allowed to fall off-grid.

Less time on laptop and phones. No pressure to reply. No guilt. The world is still standing.

5. Your nervous system is your compass.

Whether it’s hiking hills or navigating health and business, your body tells the truth. You just have to listen closely.

So here’s to walking your own path. Slowing down when needed. And remembering that strength doesn’t always need to be so loud because there's a lot of strength in resting too.

Final touches going in… Tomorrow, I take the stage with The Royal Leadership Consultants conference for International Women's Day ☕🎤

If you’d told me a 13 years ago that I’d be standing in front of a room full of powerhouse women, talking about health, resilience, and the reality of running a business, I probably would’ve laughed 😂🙈

Not because I didn’t believe in the message, but because back then, I wasn’t prioritising my own resilience the way I should have.
