Fascia connects everything in the body. It holds everything in the body. Also Fascia has lines, compartments, deep and superficial and separation.
Fascia is a scaffolding, a singular continuous tissue with multiple expressions and configurations from the snot that allows glide to the tough thoracolumbar lumbar fascia, to the muscular envelopes to the septum, to the tendon, to the ligament, to the bone, to the interstitial fluid.
Fascia is the scaffolding no matter its presentation; it's just responding to body demand and changing its configuration to match that demand.
What we need to know 👇🏻
We know that activating the smooth glide of the superficial has profound effect on the deep fascia by bypassing the activation of the flight nervous system that deeper friction and touch can elicit. If you can scream this from every hilltop for the people in the back.
We know its Thixotropic , piezoelectric and provides hydraulic amplification and we can use these properties to facilitate remodeling as reshaping that scaffolding in all its forms and functions because it’s also an independent body wide communicator. We know it’s a super tool for introspection pro perception, and balance.
We know its elastic properties are essential for recycling energy and force, absorption, and transmission.
Lets keep it simple if your scaffolding is stiff your body will break if your scaffolding is elastic and mobile you have more power, greater resilience, and more ability to compensate through elastic stability.
