Photo engraving uses a diamond to impact on the blank surface of the pendant in very fine detail. Your photo is converted into a black and white image which is then engraved onto the highly polished photo pendant producing a high definition replica of your original photo image. "Engraving" is not printing. The engraved photo is visible when light reflects off the surface. There is no colour in the engraved photo; your eye is seeing the difference in shading when light is reflected off the surface.
