Linwood Opticians continues after being bought by one of it’s employees

In August 2019, optometrist Gemma Hill began a new chapter in her optical career when she officially took over ownership of Forde Opticians in Glasgow.

Ms Hill qualified in 2016 having completed her pre-reg placement and later continued full-time at the same practice that she now owns.

She works alongside two optical assistants, Nicole Poole and Cherie King. Both worked for the previous owner.

The practice benefits from some cutting edge optical equipment, allowing early diagnosis of many eye diseases such as macular degeneration and glaucoma.
