Appreciation post and something that should be done more often.

When I set up Kickin’ On, I wasn’t looking for anything other than a way to raise awareness for mental health. What I found, though, was friendship. Shout out to Scott Chalmers — No matter whit he's going through, he's always there for the rest of us. Ye can always rely on him. He 𝙄𝙎 Kickin’ On and everything this movement stands for.

We have been over this ground before and might as well reinforce our stance again.

At Kickin' On, we’re not here for numbers. In 𝟱 years, we’ve had nights with 50+ guys and nights where not 𝙊𝙉𝙀 person showed up. But the point has always remained the same, and always will: it’s about 𝙊𝙉𝙀 man. If just 𝙊𝙉𝙀 person walks through that door and leaves with something positive, that’s mission accomplished.

We don’t chase the crowd. We chase the real moments. Because when it comes to mental health, it only takes 𝙊𝙉𝙀 man to make a difference.

Suppose it's part and parcel of social media, we get it and it is what it is. Our longevity and the fact that after 𝟱 years of being no that busy (😛) we are still here and still offering support, ah think we're doing awrite? 𝙄𝙏'𝙎 𝘼𝙇𝙇 𝙂𝙊𝙊𝘿!

I know and have seen first hand the work Ciara and the others put into the group. Also seen first hand what it means to them all. This isn't a flash in the pan, it's an established group of people who have been giving each other support for over a year.

This is only going to go one way and that is up.

Any ladies who need a bit of support then I couldn't recommend a better place for you to go.

Hi everyone, this is our new temporary logo! Believe it or not, blood sweat and tears went into this and I still don’t like it, but it’ll do for now🤣 thought we’d change it so we don’t get confused for other local groups using the same logo as us. (That’s the danger of using canva!) Our group may seem new but for anyone unfamiliar we have been going for over a year and been pulling numbers! Since our rebrand I have been trying to figure out how to advertise make posts etc. I came to group for support in the beginning and want to do my best to provide a welcoming safe space for other women. Let me clear the air for what our group looks like:

Her Path is a compassionate group dedicated to supporting women through life’s challenges. Whether you’re facing mental health issues, stress, loneliness, motherhood, trauma, or any other experience affecting your mental well-being, we’re here to help. Our socials might’ve been a little quiet (by our standards) but trust us—there’s always something happening behind the scenes at Kickin’ On. The support never stops, and we’re gearing up to shake things up—not just with what we offer, but how we offer it.

We will always forge on and the past while has shown just how much of a team effort this movement is.

Five years ago, Kickin’ On was born from a simple, powerful idea—no one should struggle alone. Since then, we’ve built a movement that has supported, uplifted, and connected countless men on their mental health journeys.

Five years. Five whole years of growth, struggle, and breakthroughs. The journey hasn't been easy, but here we are—still standing strong. We’ve watched groups rise and fall in a matter of months, yet Kickin’ On has kept moving, evolving, and, most importantly, staying here.

We’re not just proud of surviving, we’re proud of thriving through the tough times. Through the late nights, the real conversations, and the challenges that seemed impossible to overcome. This movement isn’t just about mental health—it’s about proving that with the right support, determination, and a refusal to quit, we can weather any storm.

To everyone who's been with us from the start and to those who’ve joined along the way: Thank you for being part of this journey. Here’s to the next chapter, and the next five years. We’re just getting started.

In the grand scheme of things, how many of the things we worry about truly matter? As seasoned anxiety sufferers we know how easy it is to get caught up in the small stuff—but when ye take a step back, what really deserves your energy? The people who love you, the moments that give ye joy, and the things that truly bring meaning to yer life. We're all just doing the best we can. Don’t waste yer precious time stressing over things that won't matter in a year, five years, or a lifetime. Focus on what counts in the here and now—family, friends, and the moments that make life worth living.
