🔥🔥Client Progress🔥🔥

From over 17 stone and desperately unhappy with how she looked and felt to being over the moon with her progress and closing down on that 50lbs lost 💪🏻

You don’t need to change your life to get life-changing results; you just need to be better than you were.

Be better than yesterday… walk that extra 1km, say no to the bacon roll that you don’t actually want but feel pressured into having, do something that scares you, go into the gym by yourself and do that workout you were too nervous to try before.

These are all markers of progress; these are all part of the process.

Heather did all of the above and more…

Did it always go smoothly?

Hell no, it never does, we don’t expect it to, but she always pulled herself back together and kept ongoing.

I’m proud of what she’s achieved, and I can’t wait to see where she takes it in the near future 🔥

Are you looking to lose some fat and get in the best shape of your life but don’t know where to begin?

Then DM me saying ‘RESULTS’, and I’ll be in contact soon 🤓

It’s only been one week, but it was an excellent starting week 🔥

You wouldn’t expect to see much, if any, progress in just seven days… that’s not the point of these photos.

These photos are to hold me accountable & hopefully inspire some of you guys as well.

Am I happy with how my body looks right now… no.

Am I happy with that outrageous-golfers tan… also, no, but it’s just part of me now, and I don’t think it’ll ever go away 😂

What I am happy with is how well my first week went.

5 out of 5 training sessions were done.

The goal of 80K steps over the week was smashed out the water with hitting well over 90k.

My eating habits were excellent, keeping my intake of junk to a minimum but not eliminated.

And finally, I’ve just felt great. I had two weeks off caffeine when I was off for surgery, and I’ve barely had any since then.

My energy levels and productivity have been through the roof, and I feel like I barely need any sleep.

The pictures are just the cover of the book of results whereas all of the other progress is the book itself 🔥🔥

Session 1 of this week ticked off, building that momentum right from the start.

I’ve been spending all morning setting up my clients for their next 12-week phase & I’ve had a couple of thoughts rattling about my head on the first 4 weeks of starting…

In my experience, there are two approaches the majority of people take when starting their fitness journey 💪🏻

#1. They go all in… food prep, training every day, cut out all the s**t they’ve been eating and buy all the supplements

Or…

#2. They ease themselves into it, take it easy in the gym going a couple of times each week, replace some of the crap they’ve been eating with healthier alternatives, try to move more than they usually do.

Neither are wrong…

They are simply different 😎

But there are some significant differences as you might expect.

With going all in, you’re going to see some very drastic changes over the first four weeks 🔥

You’ve shocked your body into action, and it’s adapting rapidly to keep up… but therein also lies the problem.

You’re going to be sore from the sudden change, you’re going to have to work hard to keep that level up, and when motivation starts to wobble, you’re going to need a lot of self-discipline to keep going.

Whereas with option 2… you’ll have a lot more leeway.

You’re giving your body more time to adapt, meaning it will have less impact on your life; you are giving yourself more time to build healthier habits without too much stress.

But again, therein lies the problem… results can be slow, you can get bored, you might even throw in the towel as you don’t see any changes.

There is no right way to start.

I’ve seen people succeed taking either approach… and I’ve also seen people make no progress with both.

It’s all trial and error.

You need to work on it as you go, find out what suits your lifestyle and double down on that.

The main thing is that you do just that… you start.

All the rest will take care of itself if you keep plugging away and don’t give up.

Have you struggled getting past the initial 4 weeks?

Do the most important tasks first…

Humans have finite willpower; every decision you make, every action that you take will use it up🥵

Make sure you use it in the right way.

If you’re undertaking a new habit or chasing down a new goal then take these steps first everyday.

For me, at the moment, that’s training 5 times per week…

So, to make sure I don’t miss a day, I’m doing it early doors; when I feel fresh when I’m not worn down by a full day of decisions & tasks.

This might mean going out for that early morning walk or to the gym before work…

That might not sound great to you, no one likes losing an hour of sleep.

But change doesn’t happen unless you make a change 😎

Self-discipline is the act of doing something that you promised yourself you would.

So, decide what you want to achieve, create the steps that will get you there and get take action on those steps early in the day when your mind & body is fresh & ready to go 💪🏻

If you need help with sorting this out then feel free to DM me and I’ll be in contact shortly to help 😊

One of the easiest ways to get & stay in shape is to perform exercise that doesn’t feel like exercise 🤯

To me, that’s golf ⛳️

To you that might be freshwater swimming 🏊‍♂️, hiking 🥾, or even just a walk around the park with your friends 🚶‍♀️

The idea is just to move more…

So, we might as well do it in a way that you enjoy 👌🏽

Fitness should enhance your life and shouldn’t always feel like you pushing uphill 🤷🏻‍♂️

You don’t need to force yourself to train in a way that you hate, there’s so many ways to get in shape so take your pick and have fun doing it 😎

As a business owner, you can have days or even weeks where the workload can be non-stop….

15 hour days can become the norm 😅

But you also have the flip side where you don’t have anything urgent on the to do list & can take some time back 🌚

This is one of those rare occasions where a quieter day has lined up with the elusive Scottish sun 🌞

I do have tasks that I could be working my way through, but there’s no rush for it, so I’m going to take a wee break and enjoy some warm weather, a good audiobook whilst Freya enjoys the shade 🐶

The moral of the story, being busy for the sake of being busy is more likely to hamper your progress than help it.

When you’ve got time to relax, take it, and come back feeling refreshed and ready to attack your next goal 💪🏻

And it’s a happy 3rd birthday to this little potato 🐸🎂

It honestly blows my mind that she’s 3 now… time is flying by ✈️

How quickly the last few years has gone by is mental, it really starts to put things into perspective; if you don’t change today then how will tomorrow be any different… don’t waste your time wishing for tomorrow to be better, take action today and make tomorrow better.

But now back in to Freya…

I’m sure I’ll have plenty more videos of her being an idiot even though she’s a grown up now 😂 so don’t you worry!

It feels a bit weird posting fitness content again after so long away from it... I almost feel a bit intimidated 😅

Even after posting almost every single day for 3 years, starting again was harder than expected.

So, I decided I’m going to start that exact same way I did when I first began 💪🏻

Posting a simple video from my workout 🔥

And that’s the moral of the story right there... you don’t need to be great to start but you have to start to be great.

Your first attempt will always struggle but over time & after a lot of hard work you’ll get where you want to be.

YOU JUST HAVE TO START!!

To make it easy for you why not come down to my new gym where we’re doing a free trial of up to x3 fully coached classes next week 😎

Sound good... then DM me saying trial and we can get you booked in and make that start 💪🏻
