An exciting opportunity has arisen at ACCORD HOSPICE to appoint a Clinical Nurse Specialist to work within the hospice and community setting.

We are looking for a nurse who is already actively working within a palliative care role or ward, who is enthusiastic and motivated towards further development within this area of specialism and who already holds a Degree or Post Graduate qualification within palliative care. The role requires a degree of flexibility to meet the needs of the service within and out with our organisation. We offer an excellent working environment, totally supported mentorship programme, personal development opportunities, all within a modern and friendly environment.

🎄 A Big Thank You from Our Nursing Team!

Over the festive period, our amazing community spoiled the nursing team with the most delicious homemade bakes and sweet treats - and we just want to say a huge thank you. 💛

Your kindness kept our spirits high and our bellies full during one of the busiest times of the year. Every cookie, cake, mince pie and festive nibble was appreciated more than you know!

✨ A Moment of Care on Christmas Day
While many were celebrating at home, our incredible nursing team spent Christmas Day here at ACCORD Hospice, supporting patients and their families with the same compassion, comfort and kindness they show all year round. 💛

They even managed to capture this cheerful Christmas Day selfie - a small glimpse into the warmth, teamwork and dedication that filled the hospice that day.

To our nurses and all staff who worked over the festive period: thank you. Your commitment ensures that patients and families feel supported, comforted, and never alone, even on the most special days of the year.

🌟 A Christmas act of kindness worth celebrating! 🌟

This week, we were truly touched by the generosity of one of our youngest supporters, 10‑year‑old Sonny, who donated a wonderful selection of gifts for our patients to enjoy over Christmas - including cosy blankets, sweet treats, and more. 💝

In this photo, you can see our nurses with patient Dawn and her husband Ryan, taking a moment to enjoy some of Sonny’s thoughtful gifts in our Inpatient Unit. Though Sonny isn’t in the picture, his kindness certainly is.
