Paisley is gearing up for a big Cup Final weekend! ⚽

St Mirren FC contest the Premier Sports Cup Final at Hampden Park this Sunday against Celtic, backed by more than 13,000 Buddies at the national stadium.

If you're not lucky enough to be at the game, it's fair to say Paisley's pubs and bars will have the match on the big screens! 😁

Kick off on Sunday is at 3.30pm!

It is with a mixture of sadness and gratitude that we announce the upcoming closure of AMT Massage after 12 incredible years in business. Our final day of operation will be 13th December 2025.

✨ Price Update ✨

We’ve done our very best to keep our prices the same for many years (even before Covid!), but with rising costs, we now need to make a small change.

From today, sessions will be £52.50 (currently £47.50). NHS & other discounts will still be available, but at £2.50 off instead of £5.

We’re truly grateful for your support and understanding, and we completely understand if this change means some of you need to look elsewhere.

Paisley town centre is Dementia Friendly 💜

Many of our Paisley town centre businesses including cafés, bars, salons, and jewellers have undergone Dementia Friends Training with Alzheimer’s Scotland and recently held their own World Alzheimer’s Day Tea and Blether event, raising funds and awareness for a wonderful cause.

This collective effort aims to ensure that Paisley town centre is as Dementia Friendly and as welcoming as possible for those living with Dementia and their carers.

The Achilles tendon attaches your muscles to bone. It is the biggest and strongest tendon in the body. It is found at the back of the lower leg, just above the heel bone. It attaches your two calf muscles (gastrocnemius and soleus) to the heel bone (calcaneus) and helps you go up onto tiptoes. However, where the tendon is situated this can cause Tendinopathies in some individuals.

An Achilles tendinopathy is still not completely understood, but we know tendinopathy occurs when a tendon is unable to adapt to the strain being placed upon it. This leads to repeated small amounts of damage within the tendon.

The risk factors towards developing an Achilles tendinopathy include age, gender, weight, diabetics, tight calf muscles, poor core stability and stiff foot joints.

Common symptoms include morning stiffness that eases after a few minutes of walking, tenderness over the tendon (in some cases there may be a lump) and pain on going up on your tip-toes.

Treatments include ice, anti-inflammatories, isometric strengthening exercises, eccentric strengthening exercises, activity modification and podiatry advice to see if you have correct support at your foot.
