After more than three decades of dedicated service to thousands of patients and our team, it was the last time Nick would start our day with "Morning all!"

As he starts his well earned retirement we would like to wish our Captain all the very best, he really is one of a kind and will be missed immeasurably by the whole team. Enjoy the golf course Nick, and thank you for everything 💙♥️

Wonderful to see one of the first patients of the pandemic getting back to normal life ♥️

Two years after he was admitted to our hospital with COVID-19, it is so good to see Dainius back at work 🚌🙌.

Dainius was one of the first COVID-19 patients to be treated at our hospital in spring 2020.

He was seriously ill with coronavirus and spent a long time on ECMO, an artificial lung which supports the most critically ill patients in severe respiratory failure. He made a good recovery and then completed his final bit of rehab at Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, but discharge from hospital is only the beginning of a patient's journey, not the end.

🚌 Nearly two years after he first fell ill, Dainius has returned to his job as a bus driver with Stagecoach East in Cambridge.

Seeing our previous patients - who we looked after at their sickest - get back to their normal lives will always be so rewarding and such a source of joy for us 💙.
