From getting creative with Easter-themed arts and crafts to putting their minds to the test with a fun word scramble game, it’s been a wonderful way to celebrate the season together. 💐🐰

At the end of last month, we had the wonderful Nicola visit us at Haven for a special music and movement session with our residents 🎶

It was a fantastic afternoon of getting in tune with our bodies while listening to some great songs. It was truly lovely to see everyone joining in, having fun, and enjoying the moment together.

Today at Haven Care Home, we had a very special celebration as our lovely resident Anita turned 90 🎉💖

In true Haven style, we marked the occasion with a fun-filled karaoke party 🎤🎶, where Anita was all smiles and full of joy. Of course, no birthday is complete without some delicious cake 🎂 — and she certainly enjoyed every bite!

🍀 On Tuesday, we had a fantastic time celebrating St. Patrick’s Day here at Haven! 🍀

The drinks were flowing, and the sound of lively Irish pub songs filled the room, creating a wonderful atmosphere for everyone to enjoy. 🎶🍻

Our residents had great fun posing for photos, and we were even joined by our very own leprechaun, Midhin! 🌈✨

We got stuck into some themed games, including Irish anagrams and a hilarious round of matching Irish slang to their English meanings. The laughter didn’t stop there—we topped it all off by creating our own funny paragraphs using the slang words, which had everyone in stitches! 😄

A brilliant day full of smiles, laughter, and a touch of Irish magic! 💚

On Sunday, our residents took a moment to remember and celebrate their mums on Mother’s Day 💐

It was a truly special day filled with love, memories, and smiles. Everyone got creative making the most adorable flower rings 🌸 — each one as unique and beautiful as the mums they were thinking of.

Earlier this month our residents tried out a new activity – Balloon Tennis! 🎈🎾

Armed with fly swatters, they batted a balloon back and forth, doing their best to keep it from touching the ground. There was plenty of laughter as everyone got involved, and it quickly became clear just how much fun it was!

Not only did everyone have a great time, but the game was also fantastic for improving hand–eye coordination and encouraging upper body movement and exercise.

The residents enjoyed it so much that the games lasted for a whole hour, making it a great workout as well as a lot of fun. Safe to say Balloon Tennis was a big hit! 😊

Thank you, Alan, for being such a true gentleman and for letting us share in your special day. It was wonderful to celebrate with you and make the day as special as you deserve.

Not only were we celebrating a birthday, but also an important milestone – one year since you joined us here at Haven Care Home. We couldn’t be happier to have you as part of our Haven family. ❤️

Today is International Wig Day 🎉

Yesterday at Haven Care Home we had so much fun celebrating with lots of crazy, colourful wigs! 🌈 Residents were full of smiles when they saw themselves with their bright barnets and happily posed for some fabulous photos. 📸

Of course the staff joined in the fun too, trying on some wild styles and sharing plenty of laughs along the way. Even one of our resident’s visiting dogs couldn’t resist getting involved and had a little try as well! 🐶

It was a day full of laughter, colour and wonderful memories. 💜

Happy Birthday, Istvan! We hope you’ve had a fantastic day filled with laughter, joy, and most importantly… some truly great food (made by someone else for a change!).

Last month’s visit from Julie’s Art of Noise was a truly fabulous affair! 🎶✨

Our residents had an amazing time singing along to all the classics — especially Delilah, which everyone happily got involved in! We rounded off the afternoon with Amarillo, which turned into another brilliant singalong with everyone joining in at the top of their voices.

Every song in between had the room buzzing — singing, dancing, and plenty of bell shaking! 🔔💃 It was a fantastic afternoon filled with laughter, smiling faces, and wonderful memories made together.

We can’t wait to welcome Julie back for another afternoon of music and fun! 🎤🎵

Today we had the absolute pleasure of celebrating a very special milestone here at Haven Care Home — Mary’s 97th birthday! 🎉🎂

We hope Mary had a truly fantastic day filled with smiles, laughter, and lots of love. It was wonderful to see her enjoying her birthday cake and celebrating with everyone around her.
