Our residents have been getting into the spirit of love this Valentine’s season 💕

Recently, they spent time creating some absolutely beautiful Valentine’s cards, and the room was filled with pink, red, and plenty of hearts! From delicate designs to bold and bright creations, every card was truly gorgeous and made with so much care.

It was wonderful to see everyone enjoying the creativity, sharing smiles, and spreading a little extra love along the way ❤️

Well done to all our talented residents for their fantastic designs! 💗✨

🎤 Karaoke Fun Last Week! 🎶

Last week our residents enjoyed a fantastic afternoon of karaoke, singing everything from “Stand By Me” and “Que Sera Sera” to crowd-pleasing singalongs like “Delilah” and “Sweet Caroline.”

Residents and staff alike had so much fun and truly gave it their all on the mic. There were plenty of smiles, laughter, and memorable performances all around — a wonderful afternoon enjoyed by everyone! 💛🎵

Last week two of our lovely residents enjoyed a lunch out at The Drove in Newhaven 🍽️✨

Vera tucked into one of the best lasagna dinners she’s ever had, while Christine finally satisfied her craving for steak and chips 🥩🍟

Our wonderful minibus driver Andy raised a glass with Vera, and Christine enjoyed a cheerful toast with a cheeky vodka and coke 🥂😄

Smiles, good food, and even better company – days like these mean so much 💙

🇦🇺 Australia Day Celebrations at Haven 🇦🇺

Monday was Australia Day, and our residents at Haven enjoyed a wonderful day of celebration! The fun included photo props, an Australian slang quiz that sparked plenty of laughs, and we wrapped up the day with a fantastic and lively rendition of Waltzing Matilda.

It was a joyful day full of smiles, music, and Aussie spirit! ❤️

At the weekend, our residents gave their brains a real workout 🧠✨

They tackled a tricky riddle where the answer was hidden within a table of words. By solving clever clues and crossing out the correct words, the final answer was slowly revealed! 🔍📝

We also took on some word ladders, starting with one four-letter word and ending with a completely different one. Using clues and changing just one letter at a time, residents filled in the missing steps to reach the final word 🪜🔤

Lots of concentration, teamwork, and smiles all round – a fun and stimulating way to keep those minds active! 😊👏

Last week, Haven once again welcomed the wonderful Julie to perform for us 🎶

Our residents waved colourful scarves, rang the bells, and joined in with the singing — it was lovely to see so many smiling faces 😊

With hits from Billy Fury, ABBA, and Queen, there was plenty to get us dancing and tapping along. Such a great afternoon filled with music, laughter, and fun 💃🕺🎤
