Our owner/optometrist Robert is taking part in The Kiltwalk Wee Wander on Sunday with his wife and kids to raise money for Spina Bifida Hydrocephalus (SBH) Scotland.

SBH Scotland does important work supporting families living with spina bifida and hydrocephalus across Scotland.

This looks a great show coming up this Friday at the Eastgate about Peebles in the 1800s. I had a sneak preview into the stories involved and both the show and the book are well worth checking out. :)

Using James Grosart’s warm-hearted and witty reminiscences, Julian Goodacre and a small cast of actors bring events and the characters of 19th century Peebles to life, giving us fascinating glimpses into the lives of real people from the past as well as insights into Peebles as it is today.
