Most of us have heard of Reiki, some have experienced it, however, perhaps a Reiki session should be explained in more detail.
Whilst lying on a couch under cosy blankets and while fully clothed, the Practitioner taps into the Energy and places their hands on or above areas of the body which may need attention, allowing the physical, emotional and spiritual blocks to be released, bringing balance and revitalising the body to a healthier level.
The client can experience a number of reactions e.g profound relaxation, sleepiness often emotional, then there's also elation and sometimes a great sense of release.
Normal duration is around 1 hour.
Ultimately, Reiki is an amazing therapy to help reduce stress.
Stress is at the root of most illnesses and disease.
Chronic stress...daily stress, unless nipped in the bud will lead to physical if not mental and emotional breakdown.
Many people carry around chronic stress without realising and wonder how their illness is not shifting or they're not getting any better....topping up on pills and painkillers, then more medication to deal with the long term side effects of the original drugs, is not the answer.
