I think music is really important when it comes to my Pilates classes. I dont want to play anything too distracting that will take you out of "the zone". This is why I accompany my classes with LoFi tunes at a level that you can still hear what I am saying.

"The magic circle is a great Pilates prop, and one I love to use in my classes. It was invented by Joseph Pilates himself, and legend has it he created the first version from the metal bands of an old beer barrel.

Whilst we may have moved on from then, the magic circle is still a great way to add extra resistance, supports stretching and helps to improve alignment. It's often held between the hands to work the chest and shoulders or placed between the inner thighs to strengthen the adductors and core muscles. No need to fear it next time you see me hand them out in class!"

Hello! Just to let you know my 6pm and 7pm Pilates classes at Walkerburn village hall will be held at Traquair village hall for the next 7 weeks (starting Thrusday 18th September).
