How to NOT ruin your progress between now & Christmas 🎅

Are you guilty of turning Christmas day into Christmas month?

Or like me in previous years, turning 10 days of Christmas into 2 months of Christmas?

Just when losing fat & keeping it off was hard enough,

Your about to be smacked in the face with…

☕️ Gingerbread Lattes
🥧 Mince Pies
🍫 People bringing you tubs of Chocolate
🍽️ 3 socials a week (& that’s just November)

And the 5 Christmas Party’s you’ve been invited to.

It’s overwhelming, how on earth will you manage it?

In fact, you’re accepting defeat already.

Only, you’ll be annoyed when January rolls round & you’re heavier than you thought.

November is THE TIME to be getting better habits in place.

If you haven’t started yet?

👉 Great, you’ve got a good 6 weeks before Christmas to get ahead of the new year.

Have you made some great progress this year?

👉 This is now your time to HOLD & BUILD.

I’ll be running maintenance phases/lean bulks with many of my clients from now into winter,

To protect results & gain muscle over the winter.

This is exactly what we’ve done with Damian over the past month since his Photoshoot.

The Lean Bulk Begins 🧱

He’s had plenty of meals out with friends & family in that time.

But his average weight is up less than 1kg.

Strength is climbing.

Energy levels are great.

He’s eating 1000 calories more per day but he’s keeping his shape.

Basically - he’s absolutely nailing it.

We’ve got his next 6 months mapped out,

He knows exactly whats to come before next Summer & how he can improve yet again.

But it all starts with a plan & a mindset to do your best.

This is not about being perfect,

This is about understanding you can have a lifestyle that keeps you fit, lean & healthy.

But also allows you to enjoy the experiences with your partner, family & friends things like Christmas bring.

Stepping Back 💭

I saw for November its men’s mental health month so thought I’d share some thoughts,

Do you ever have days where you question what you’re doing & why you’re doing?

It can feel like you’re a bit lost with it all…

People to see,
Messages to reply to,
Work to be done,
Responsibilities to uphold.

Life moving 100mph with no slowing down.

You can feel drained & disconnected from life.

If so, you’re not alone, I think a lot of people feel like it sometimes.

A great way to get your head back on track in my opinion is this,

Take a step back.

Remind yourself of the big picture & everything that gives you purpose.

For me those things would be,

Travel & experiencing life with Jess ✈️

Planning for the future 🌍

Learning & improving 🧠

Staying fit & active 💪🏻

Helping people improve their health & being a part of their journey 🎯

I am learning to be more grateful for these things.

As this is the stuff that motivates me when life is 100mph.

This fuelled with walks, coffee, podcasts, good food, football & a laugh is what keeps me ticking over 🙋🏻‍♂️

Always happy to lend an ear to anyone who may need it & those having a tough time of things at the moment.

Which one are you choosing?

With 8 weeks until Christmas

You have 2 choices with your Training & Nutrition

Choice 1 - You don’t start now & change nothing.

You take your foot off the gas & head into January in a worse position than you are now.

With “sorting yourself out” being on the 2026 to-do list.

Before realising 6 months isn’t a long time to be ready for your summer holiday!

Choice 2 - You start now.

You spend the next 5-6 weeks getting good habits in place.

You drop some body fat, you feel better going in to Christmas & more motivated not to blow it all over the last 7 days of the year.

You get stronger & get into a good place with your training before every man & his dog hits the gym in January.

This Weekend ⤴️

Full intention of creating a shoot prep reel today - failed hard 🫠

But client programming/work took priority today 💻

Nice weekend made up of,

Coffee - Xmas cups are out 🎄
Training & Steps being boxed off 🏋️‍♂️
Getting Jess’s knee diagnosed at physio 🦴
Booking 2026 island hop 🇬🇷
Eating a glorious amount of carbs on today’s refeed 🥯

And that incredible extra hour last night 💤

Looking forward to another week & pushing on another week in shoot prep 📸

Athens is just over 2 weeks away as well, looking forward to a few days recharging 🧠

Shoot Prep Series - Progress Update 📸

Two words.

BIG WEEK.

2 weeks until shoot day,

Dropped 2.5lbs from last Saturday hitting a new low of 167 pounds this morning.

Which makes it 17 pounds dropped since April (left to right)

And I’d say 85% of that time has been sustainable, lifestyle friendly dieting

The kind of dieting I genuinely believe most people (including you) can do

It’s only this past 4 weeks things have had to go up a notch

Over a stone since April is crazy - I know I didn’t look like I had over a stone to lose 😂

But if you’re trying to get leaner than ever before, expect to drop a bit more weight than you think.

Calories this week have been 1600kcal - pitiful (for me anyway) 😂

Tomorrow is different.

If you see Mr Warburtons, tell him I’m looking for him 🥯

2700 calorie refeed is happening tomorrow, so 400 grams of carbs are getting eaten!
