Has everyone seen this article today?
The truth is, A & E staff can’t do anything for your ingrown toenail. Apart from giving anti biotics that you’ll probably have to wait hours and hours for. They will most likely tell you you need to see a podiatrist. And 9 times out of 10, they won’t refer you to the NHS podiatrist. For reason I just don’t know.
So, if you have a painful and possibly infected toenail it’s best to see a podiatrist immediately. We can see you pretty quickly, sort it out usually in the same day. AND if your podiatrist has the appropriate training, we can issue a prescription for antibiotics.

Christmas deccies are up! Felling festive

November round up! These months are just whizzing by. Been a busy month in clinic and also family life. It’s not all just work for me. Here’s some things I’ve been up to during the month of November.
1) Early start on the Christmas supplies. Although I need to report…the baileys has been opened already.
2) Finally got a Green Man for my tree in the garden. I’ve only been wanting one for 5 years!
3) Hours and Hours spent raking up leaves. Trees are lovely but my God, they make a mess this time of year.
4) Early visit to the German Market.
5) NEW SHOES. You all know I’m a sucker for a pair of Hoka. These are the Bondi SR. Super comfy. Super cute. What’s not to love?
6) Trying to master the art of Mahjong!
7) Trying to master the art of the foot scan. New kit for clinic. Watch this space. Very excited!
8) How annoying is it when you buy new decs and you smash them as soon as you get home? 😡
9) Let the wrapping commence. Seriously impressed how organised I am this year. However, it usually means I’ve forgotten something.

So November is here! Sorry…what happened to October?
Is it just me or has October passed in a blur?
Anyhow, here’s a quick roundup of what happened in October.
1 I had a trip to Taunton to undertake additional training in ultrasound scanning. The family came along for the ride and we got to catch up with an old friend for dinner too.
2 We saw the launch of a newest service that we now offer; Shockwave clinics are now fully operational.
3 Managed to get a lovely lady the treatment for a very painful ingrowing toenail she had been desperately trying to get sorted for months. We needed to refer this case on a podiatric surgeon as she was tricky case and needed more surgical expertise but she is all healed now and able to get on with her life without this problem holding her back.
4 The month came to a close with a trip to Disneyland Paris for an early birthday treat for Sid. We walked over 60,000 steps in 3 days and we were all feeling under the weather and exhausted with very sore feet! And despite the extortionate prices for food and time spent in queues, we all had a great time.
5 Oh and a new coffee shop has opened on the High Street. Matcha Vanilla Lattes will be making a daily appearance in clinic going forward!
