Why did I bother spending £25k & 5 years training to be an osteopath when I could have spent £99 & watched a DVD!! Be very careful of what your therapist claims they can do & don’t be afraid to ask how & where they qualified

One of the things I’ve noticed on a professional level during these difficult times is that myself, my fellow osteopaths & for that matter other Allied Health Professionals are being badly let down by our governing bodies. No clear guidelines & conflicting information from them & our insurance companies. A lot of us aren’t entitled to help from the government so quite a few will struggle over the coming months. A lot are arguing amongst themselves & it’s getting quite heated. Most of us are offering some assistance, even if it’s remote, via telephone, Skype etc. If you’re in discomfort/pain, reach out to your local osteopath etc, they may still be able to help

Hi All, I have posted this elsewhere but though I should here as well. Because the incubation period for Covid-19 can be fairly long, neither myself nor my patients can be sure that they have the virus until symptoms develop. With this in mind I feel that with the risk of my passing the virus to someone else, even tho’ there are only a few cases locally, the risk is small, it’s a risk too far. I won’t be practicing until we’re assured it’s safe to do so, however if you’re in pain, please call, email, text, Skype me & if I can help with advice for self-treatment, exercise, stretching etc I’ll gladly do so.
