Today Matthew took on the Bath Half Marathon - and he finished it. 🏁

What people see on race day is the medal and the finish line photo. What they don’t always see are the weeks of training beforehand: the early mornings, the sessions squeezed around work and life, and the discipline it takes to keep showing up even when motivation isn’t always there.

Matthew has been building consistently week by week. Learning how to pace his efforts, trust the process, and keep moving forward. That’s what made today special - not just crossing the line, but the journey it took to get there.

21.1km around the streets of Bath is no small task, and Matthew handled it with determination and resilience from start to finish.

Massive congratulations mate. Proud of the effort you’ve put in and the progress you’re making. This is just another step forward 💪🏼

Bath Half Marathon 🏃‍♂️

Massive well done to Scott who took on the Bath Half Marathon this weekend and put together a really strong performance.

Scott has been quietly building his fitness over the past few months, balancing swim, bike and run sessions while working towards a big year of racing that includes marathons, sportives and middle-distance triathlon.

Bath was always going to be a great test of where his run fitness is right now, and he executed the race brilliantly - staying controlled early on, settling into a strong rhythm through the middle miles and then digging deep when it mattered most.

Half marathons are never easy, but they’re a great reminder of what consistent training, patience and commitment can produce over time.

Really proud of the work Scott has been putting in behind the scenes and this is another great step forward on the journey. Plenty more to come this year 👊🏼

Huge congratulations to Belinda who took on the Bath Half Marathon today and delivered an outstanding performance.

Running 1:57:40 on a rolling course, Belinda showed exactly what consistent training and commitment can produce.

What impressed me most wasn’t just the finish time — it was the way she executed the race. Calm pacing, controlled effort and strong endurance from start to finish. The data shows almost zero cardiac drift across the entire half marathon, which is a brilliant sign of the aerobic engine she’s building.

And the best part?

This performance comes in the middle of a long-course triathlon build, not after a full running taper.

Belinda continues to show what’s possible when you trust the process, stay consistent and keep turning up week after week.

This is another big step on the road towards IRONMAN Wales later this year.

Proud of the work you’re putting in 👊

Tomorrow at 6pm 🇬🇧 I’ll be releasing a new video on the channel:

How to Structure a Week of Endurance Training

One of the biggest mistakes I see athletes make isn’t a lack of motivation - it’s poor training structure.

People train hard when they feel good, stack sessions together, skip recovery… and slowly accumulate fatigue until something breaks.

In this video I explain:

• How I structure a week of training for endurance athletes
• How to balance hard sessions and recovery
• Why consistency beats intensity over the long term

If you’re training for a marathon, Ironman, triathlon or ultramarathon, this video should help you build a training week that is sustainable and repeatable.

Set a reminder for 6pm tomorrow and I hope you find it useful.

See you there 🤙🏼

This one means a lot.

The new North Star video is now live for all Recovery Lab TV members.

It goes public at 6:30pm 🇬🇧 tonight.

This isn’t a quick tip.
It’s not a hype reel.
It’s not surface-level motivation.

It’s 45 minutes of clarity.

Inside this video I break down:

• Why most endurance athletes stay stuck
• The real reason consistency beats intensity
• The training stress / recovery balance most people misunderstand
• How to build something sustainable instead of constantly rebuilding
• What “alignment” actually means in your training and life

This is the foundation piece.
The “Start Here” anchor.

If you’ve ever felt:
– Frustrated by injury
– Inconsistent with training
– Burnt out
– Pulled in too many directions
– Or unsure what you’re actually building…

This will help you recalibrate.

The benefit of watching isn’t just better sessions.

It’s:
• Better long-term progression
• Smarter load management
• Fewer setbacks
• Clearer decision making
• And a deeper understanding of why you train the way you train

Members get early access because this is the kind of content that builds the culture properly.

If you’re part of Recovery Lab - this is your blueprint.

If you’re not yet - it drops for everyone at 6:30pm tonight.

This isn’t about doing more.

It’s about building something that lasts.

See you at 18:30 🇬🇧

Huge congratulations to Belinda for taking on the Lliswerry 8 today 🏃‍♀️👏🏼

This race was a brilliant example of what happens when consistency meets confidence. Belinda didn’t just turn up and get the job done, she executed the race with intent, discipline, and belief in her training. The Lliswerry 8 is a proper test, honest pacing, no hiding, and today she met it head-on.

What makes this even more special is that off the back of today’s run, Belinda has also achieved a brand new run threshold. That’s not luck, that’s progress earned through steady work, showing up on the days when motivation is low, and trusting the process over time.

Threshold improvements don’t happen overnight. They come from layering sessions together, learning how to sit comfortably in discomfort, and building confidence in what your body can do. Today was a clear marker of that growth.

Really proud of you, Belinda. Enjoy this moment, take confidence from it, and keep building. This is just another step forward on a much bigger journey, and it’s a pleasure to be part of it 👊🏼🔥

Big congratulations to on completing the 10km today 🏃‍♂️👏🏼

Racing through one of the most iconic and unique settings in the UK, Scott showed exactly what consistent work, patience, and belief can produce. The Longleat course isn’t just about distance, it’s about rhythm, focus, and staying composed when the legs start to ask questions. Today, Scott answered those questions with intent.

What I’m most proud of isn’t just the finish, but the way he approached the race. Calm, controlled, and committed to the process. That’s where progress really lives. Every training session, every honest effort, and every moment of doubt that was worked through has led to days like this.

Races like these aren’t just a test of fitness, they’re a reflection of character. Turning up, trusting the work, and seeing it through from start to finish. Scott did exactly that.

Massive credit to you mate. Enjoy the achievement, take confidence from it, and carry this momentum forward. This is another solid step on a much bigger journey, and I’m excited to see what comes next 👊🏼🔥
