January has been a busy and positive start to the year ❄️

From welcoming new enquiries and assessments, to having Becky join us as a student, and running our first orthotics clinic with Mark Waldron, it’s been a great way to kick off 2026. We’re looking forward to building on this momentum and supporting more families over the coming months.

Thank you to everyone who’s been part of our January — we’re excited for what’s ahead ✨

Today is Parent Mental Health Day.

Being a parent often comes with quiet questions and ongoing mental load, especially when you’re wondering whether your child’s development is progressing as expected.

At Therapy Stars, we regularly meet parents who aren’t looking for labels or worst-case scenarios. They’re looking for clarity, reassurance, and space to talk things through without feeling rushed or dismissed.

Parent mental health isn’t just about how you’re coping day to day, it’s also shaped by uncertainty, long waiting lists, and being told to “wait and see” when something doesn’t feel quite right.

Today is a reminder that:
• It’s okay to want reassurance
• It’s okay to ask questions
• Early conversations can often help reduce stress

👉 If you have any questions and would like to speak with a member of our team, you can reach us on 01948 830583.

The 7 Most Common Milestone Myths and What Parents Really Need to Know
When it comes to baby milestones, parents are surrounded by advice and not all of it is helpful.

Some of the most common beliefs about development can actually increase anxiety and delay support.

In our latest blog, we break down the milestone myths we hear most often, and explain what really matters instead. We cover:
• why milestone charts aren’t deadlines
• common myths around tummy time, crawling and “growing out of it”
• how to spot the difference between normal variation and red flags
• why early reassurance or advice is often gentle and preventative

If you’ve ever felt confused by conflicting advice, this post is for you.

Rolling is one of those milestones that often gets overlooked.

It isn’t just about moving from back to tummy (or tummy to back). It’s about core strength, body awareness, coordination, and preparing for the next stages of movement.

If your baby:
- isn’t showing much interest in rolling
- struggles to move across their body
- gets “stuck” on one side
- or you’re just not sure how to help at home, we’ve created a step-by-step digital rolling programme to guide you.

✨ It includes our therapist-approved activities, clear explanations, and practical ways to support rolling through play, without overwhelm.

This resource is designed to give you confidence and structure while still knowing when to seek support if needed.

'Am I Missing Something? How to Understand Your Baby’s Early Milestones With Confidence'

If you’ve ever found yourself Googling milestones late at night or quietly comparing your baby to others, you’re not alone. Many parents worry about whether their child is “on track”, especially when development doesn’t follow a specific timeline.

In our latest blog, we’ve explored:
• why milestone worries are so common
• what “typical” development really looks like
• why progress matters more than perfection
• and how to know when reassurance is enough, or when guidance can help

This post is designed to help you feel calm, informed, and confident, with practical insight and reassurance.

First up in our Meet the Team series is Sian, our Clinical Director & Paediatric Physiotherapist.

Sian loves building meaningful relationships with the children and families she works with and celebrating every win along the way - big or small. She’s passionate about making therapy fun, play-based and easy to fit into family life, proving that exercises don’t have to feel like a chore.

Her favourite part of the job? Being a little bit silly, having lots of fun (and singing… whether the children like it or not! 🎶). When she’s not in clinic, you’ll find her unwinding with a good murder mystery and a growing pile of books.

Three words to describe Sian? Kind, loyal and smiley 😊
