My Community- Penrith 'My Community' is all about us, our community, working together & creating positive change. (We do not try to imitate anybody, only support what they are doing)

My Community is a Royal initiative brought to thanks to funding. We are employed by , our aim is to work with the community to find out what is good, what could be better and use co production to help make Penrith a better place for people with a learning disability and everyone to live. We work with other groups and occasionally you will see us promoting events from other groups that we have supported, either through co producing something new or by funding Launch events.

This week’s Thoughtful Tuesday is for Dementia Carers 10-2pm.

If someone in your family has Dementia, come along and meet others like you - just get here when you can & leave when you need to. There’s tea & coffee, a light lunch of hub made soup & bread, board games & crafts.

Claire from Westmorland and Furness Libraries & The Appleby Memory Club will be there too to chat & share what they do.

All our Thoughtful Tuesday’s are kindly fully funded by The National Lottery Community Fund.

This week we will be up in the Bennett Room rather than the cafe area where we normally meet. There is a lift to the first floor should stairs be a problem.

Hope to see you on Tuesday ♥️

Symptoms such as ongoing tiredness, swelling, changes in urination or persistent kidney pain should never be ignored. Lifestyle choices, hydration and underlying health conditions all play a role in kidney health.

There is also growing concern about ketamine use in young people, as it can cause serious damage to the bladder and kidneys, sometimes leading to long-term complications. Knowing the risks and acting early can help protect kidney function and overall wellbeing. 🩺💧💙✨
