Just a little reminder about our Bring & Buy Book Corner. We absolutely love our book corner and thanks to your support it continues to be very successful.

This year we are delighted to be raising money for Cumbria Ore Mines Rescue Unit, a fantastic cause we are proud to support.

Today, Mr Lewis and our dental nurse Amy took part in first aid training with St John Ambulance in Carlisle 🚑

We’re proud to say that we are constantly learning and staying up to date with the latest guidance and training to ensure we provide the safest possible care for our patients. Refreshing our first aid knowledge is an important part of that commitment.

A big thank you to St John Ambulance for such an informative and hands-on session today.

The team at Ghyllmount have been back on the road, travelling across Cumbria to personally deliver our referral boxes to dental practices throughout the county.

Each box contains everything dentists need to refer patients to us here at Ghyllmount, along with a few little treats to say thank you!

Megan’s Ortho Relapse Journey

Megan first had braces at the age of 17, which she wore until she was 19 under the NHS. While her treatment straightened her teeth, she wasn’t given a bonded retainer at the end of treatment. Unfortunately, without consistent retainer wear, her teeth gradually began to shift back, a common issue known as orthodontic relapse.

After having composite bonding, Megan wanted a more long lasting solution. At her consultation with Giles Jones it was clear her orthodontic relapse needed to be addressed first with clear aligner braces.

This approach will realign Megan’s teeth properly before any further cosmetic work, helping to achieve a healthier, longer lasting result.

As part of treatment, Megan receives a personal login allowing her to view a digital simulation of how her teeth will move at every stage of wearing her aligners 🦷✨
