Follow this checklist to make the most out of your sauna session;

🧖🏼‍♀️ Trust us on the towels, one to sit on in the sauna and a fresh one for changing after.

💦 We provide drinking water but arriving hydrated and continuing to hydrate after is a great idea!

🩱Check your swimwear for metal parts - these can heat up and take away from relaxation.

🥾We love that our saunas offer a slice of wellbeing in the wild… that can sometimes mean getting to us is muddy! Don’t bring your white bright trainers 🙈

🧖 Arriving a few minutes early for your session means you can find the changing rooms and toilet if you need it beforehand and make the most of your hour in the heat.

At Fellside sauna, personally we like to sauna and lake dip because it makes us feel good - to be honest that’s enough for us. Listening to the crackle of the fire and the aromas of natural firewood as well as essential oils in the steam.

However, it is really great to see how the benefits of sauna bathing Is backed by science.

Whatever motivates you to sauna, we are glad to meet you 😌🔥

A few weeks ago, after a long time preparing, I closed a very important chapter for me as I said goodbye to a career I spent years training for. It has been a privilege to work therapeutically with some wonderful humans over the last 9 years.

Almost 3 years ago, just before Joe and I set off for our trip of a lifetime, our world turned upside down. I lost someone who had been beside me my entire life and who I thought I would see grow old.

I have thrown myself into every opportunity that has presented itself, including growing this beautiful little sauna business. I hold a lot of gratitude for this world and the people in it who have supported me.

Now feels like the right time for me to take a bit of a break from the busy (that I created) and honour the endings I have just worked through with clients and the grief I am carrying.

So you won’t hear much from me for the next month as I embark on a special chapter in a yoga ashram in Rishikesh and log off from the usual distractions.

I am delighted that we can still offer our sauna at Another Place because our wonderful team are holding the fort and keeping the fire stoked and a few insta updates.

I look forward to what I hope will be a transformational month, and also to returning home to our saunas - with our little one’s new location at Lingholm after a little spruce up! Bookings are live by the way 🤭✨

My worst kept secret 🤭 I was too excited, so many of you know already but our little sauna will be nestled in the woodland in the private grounds of ! As well as enjoying the trees, we still have lake access!

This is a really special place and I’m excited for some crisp winter mornings tending the fire (probably some soggy ones too).

Join us for a steam in December… bookings will go live this weekend.

Hi all!

As a small business, we do feel the impact of late cancellations and rescheduling. There have been over 30 sessions this week alone with people getting days wrong or asking to reschedule at short-notice.

On an individual basis, it might feel unfair not to move things around but when you start to do it for everyone, it really does cost the business.

As we approach winter and there are more likely to be bugs about, please change your sessions at your earliest opportunity. Sessions cancelled within 48 hours will not be refunded or rescheduled.
