Guess where we went? 🇮🇳 🇮🇳 🇮🇳
Yes, our residents, along with their passports boarded the plane and took to the skies to visit India! All within the comfort of their very own armchairs!!!
And wow what a day it was!🫶🏻
Our real life cabin crew member was there to ensure safe flight and perform safety travel demo for us and once we were soaring he offered us a range of drinks and snacks in the air.
On arrival at Deli airport our home manager Rachael was in full sari 🥻 waiting to welcome us to India! 🇮🇳
We enjoyed a travel documentary showing us some beautiful sights, we shared some wonderful cuisine and we watched a full sari demonstration from some of our wonderful staff.
Then the highlight of the day.. Some of our staff performed traditional song and dance for us. It was absolutely spectacular. The beautiful costumes, makeup, body paints and jewellery brightened up the room with an array of colour and talent.
Residents, staff and families were joined together to enjoy a truly heartwarming immersive experience before heading back through the skies to Swansea Terrace x
Our Activity Coordinator is already planning our next trip and we can’t wait ✈️🫶🏻✈️

We’re incredibly proud to share that Swansea Terrace has achieved Veteran Friendly Framework status. 🩷💚

Becoming a Veteran Friendly care home means recognising, understanding and supporting residents who have served in the Armed Forces and ensuring their experiences are respected and honoured.

One of our residents, Harry, recently visited a local Veterans Café where he met a fellow veteran from the same regiment.

The two spent time reminiscing about their service and shared memories from the places they had served around the world.

Harry described the visit as a wonderful experience and said it felt like being surrounded by friends again.

Across We Care Group, our homes are now working towards achieving a full Veteran Friendly provider profile so that veterans in our care can remain connected to the community and the experiences that shaped their lives.

Well done to the Swansea Terrace team for their commitment to making this possible.

As we draw a close to the month of love, we wanted to share some of the wonderful moments we’ve enjoyed here at Swansea Terrace ❤️

Our residents have had a lovely time taking part in heart crafts, decorating our sweetheart tree, and enjoying a fantastic performance from the amazing vocalist Johnny G.

We also shared a beautiful buffet and drinks together before settling down to watch a romantic movie. Love was truly in the air as residents made cards and shared them around the home with one another.

It’s been a month filled with smiles, laughter and kindness 💕

Some of our residents enjoyed some pampering today at our Swansea nail bar. Lavender hand soak, nail filing, and a little buff, followed by a nice sensory hand massage with relaxation music 🫶🏻
