It is with great sadness, we announce the loss of Nick. He passed away peacefully at home on Thursday 6th November 2025. Age 77 years

Nick was a much-loved husband to Gill, a devoted dad to Jeff, Zena, and Jon, a stepdad to Rebecca and Emma, and a wonderful grandad to Ella, Jude, Matthew, Sarah, Dylan, and Pippa.

He will be deeply missed by all his friends and family. He is now at peace, and we have many memories which will live on in our hearts forever.

The funeral service will be held at St Michael and All Angels Church, Much Hoole, on Tuesday, 25th November at 11:30 am.

Family flowers only please. Donations made in memory of Nick to St Catherine's Hospice, Lancashire will be gratefully received c/o the funeral director.

With great sadness, we announce the loss of Barbara Benson, loving wife of 49 years to David, mother to Stuart and Suzanne, mother-in-law to Steven and Paula, Grandma to Jessica, Ryan, Ashleigh, Caitlin, Becca, Abi and Jake.

Much-loved sister and aunt to Pat, Devi and Kelly and family.

Also, sister in law and aunty to Allan, Andrew and Catherine, and families, who also hold fond memories.

Barbara passed away after a short illness, peacefully at home on Monday, 27 October 2025. Barbara was 79 years old and will be deeply missed by family and friends. Her absence will leave a deep hole in our lives, but our memories and her legacy will live on forever in our hearts. She is now at peace and reunited with her beloved once more.

The funeral service will be held at West Lancashire Cemetery and Crematorium on Tuesday, 11th November at 2:00pm, followed by a get-together for family and friends at St Theresa’s Club in Penwortham.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Elizabeth Diane Hearle, ‘Diane’, on the 26th October 2025, aged 76 years, after a long illness, borne with strength and determination.

Diane was a loving mother to Tim and Lisa, a devoted Grandma (G) and sister, and a loyal friend. Diane was the life and soul of any gathering, and her presence lit up the room.

Diane will be immensely missed by all her family and friends, remembered with warmth, and never forgotten.

With all our love, may she rest in peace.

Diane will be laid to rest and reunited with her beloved daughter, Lisa, at 1 pm at St Saviour's Church, Bamber Bridge, on Thursday, 13th November 2025.

Passed away peacefully in hospital on Monday, 20th October 2025, aged 90 years.

Dearly loved husband, brother, father, stepfather, grandad, great-grandad, father-in-law and uncle. Harry will be missed beyond measure by all his friends and family.

His whole life was spent serving his community as a police officer, a councillor, and a former Mayor of the Borough. His absence will be deeply felt by many.

Harry's funeral will take place on Wednesday, 12th November at 10.30am at Kingsfold Methodist Church, Hawksbury Drive, Penwortham, followed by cremation at West Lancashire Cemetery and Crematorium, Burscough.
