The Cornwall Disability Alliance has recently launched Your Voice Cornwall, the biggest health, disability and inclusion survey ever run in Cornwall. The findings will be used to influence future services, policy and decision making across the county, and we want to ensure a wide range of lived experiences are represented.

The survey is open to anyone with physical conditions and sensory loss, long-term and fluctuating conditions, learning disability, neurological, neurodivergence, mental health, and other hidden conditions. Carers, family members, friends, and support workers may complete the survey on someone's behalf.

As a thank you, ten people will each win £500 once the survey closes on 3 April 2026.

📢 IMPORTANT NOTICE
Change to Prescription Processing Times

⏰ From Monday 19th Jan, prescriptions may take up to 5 full working days to be processed.
This includes the time needed for:
Reviewing the request
Signing off by a GP or Prescribing Clinician
Sending the prescription to your nominated pharmacy

Why the change?
Due to a significant increase in prescription requests, we need more time to ensure each prescription is reviewed safely and accurately.

What you need to do:
✔ Order in plenty of time
✔ Allow the full 5 working days before checking with the pharmacy
✔ Use NHS App / patient online services where possible

Thank you for your understanding
We appreciate your patience while we work to maintain safe and efficient prescribing for all our patients.

Prescription Update

We would like to sincerely apologise for the delays some patients are currently experiencing with prescription sign-offs. Due to the recent storm and subsequent power outage, we have unfortunately fallen behind.

We fully understand how important timely prescriptions are and are very sorry for any inconvenience or worry this may be causing. Please be assured that we are working through the backlog as a priority, with additional clinicians helping to resolve this as quickly as possible.

We are doing everything we can to return to normal service as soon as possible and truly appreciate your patience and understanding during this time.

09/01/2026

Following last night’s storm and the ongoing winds, along with numerous road closures this morning, we want to reassure our patients that your safety remains our top priority.
If you have an appointment today and are unable to attend, or feel it would be unsafe to travel to the surgery, please call us. We will gladly rebook your appointment at the earliest available date.
Please be aware that we may need to make some adjustments to our services to ensure the safety of our staff. We are currently operating with reduced staff capacity and apologise if this results in your appointment being cancelled or rescheduled.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

🌟 Introducing Accurx Navigator at Morrab Surgery! 🌟
We are delighted to announce a new service for our patients — Accurx Navigator. This smart online feature is designed to help you find the right care, at the right time, so you may not always need to book a GP appointment directly.
✅ What is Accurx Navigator?
Accurx Navigator is part of the Accurx Patient Triage system. It automatically suggests trusted NHS self-care options, pharmacies or self-referral services for common health issues — while still giving you the choice to contact us directly if you prefer.
📋 Which conditions can it help with?
Navigator covers 12 common health problems such as: cough, sore throat, urinary tract infection (UTI), back pain, earache, sinus infection and more.
🖥️ How it works (for you):
When you start an online consultation at Morrab Surgery (via Accurx), you’ll see a Navigator screen with sign-posting options.
You’ll be shown suggested services (for example pharmacy advice, NHS self-help) plus the option to go straight on to the GP practice if you wish.
If you choose to contact us, your usual practice request still comes through. The Navigator portion doesn’t replace our clinical review; it simply adds extra choice.
💡 Why we’re using it:
It helps ensure patients access the most appropriate part of the system for their needs (saving time for both you and us).
It helps hold the line for GP appointments for those who really need an in-person or telephone review.
It supports self-care and quicker resolution for less urgent issues.
🔄 Important to know:
Using Navigator does not mean you are prevented from choosing our practice — you always retain that option.
Navigator is for non-urgent health issues. If you have a serious or urgent problem (chest pain, shortness of breath, etc.) please phone the surgery or attend A&E as appropriate.
It is informational only: it does not give medical diagnosis or replace a clinician’s review.
📣 How to access it:
Visit our website, go to Contact us online, and select the Accurx online request form. When you complete the form, you’ll be guided via Navigator.
Contact us about your request - Accurx Patient Portal
🙏 Thank you for choosing our digital services
By using Accurx Navigator you’re helping us deliver the best possible care — and we’re here when you need us. Let’s make your care easier and more efficient together.
