TMJ Massage
I am a fully qualified and insured massage therapist specialising in TMJ Massage.
WHAT IS TMJ?
The temporomandibular joint, also called TMJ, acts like a sliding hinge. It connects the jawbone to the skull.
WHO WOULD BENEFIT FROM THIS TYPE OF MASSAGE?
Jaw Clenchers
Jaw grinders
Pain in face and neck
Jaw Tightness and pain
Sinus problems
Tinnitus
Headache and migraine sufferers
The massage helps with restoring proper muscle function and joint mobility.
Increases blood flow by releasing toxins
Reduces inflammation
This Massage works on the fascia, a protective, web-like, connective tissue that surrounds and supports every organ, muscle, bone, and nerve in the body throughout the body. It stores emotions, whether it be sad, happy tense situations or grief. Aiming to relax and release the emotions.
The massage also works on detailed areas of the upper back, shoulders, neck head and face, again releasing problematic areas associated with the TMJ. Finally, an intra-oral massage to release tightness inside the jaw.
After the massage, you will feel the jaw letting go of tension and a feeling of space within your mouth. Your Jaw, Head, neck, face, and body as a whole will feel relaxed.
I have had the pleasure of working alongside dental practitioners who have referred patients who have benefitted from this type of massage.
I am able to offer this massage for an amazing price of just £50 (normally £60) for a 90-minute treatment plus free consultation.
If you think this type of massage can help you, please get in contact, and I will be happy to help and answer any questions.
