Job Summary
We are looking for a Senior Stylist to join our newly refurbished salon with a small but busy team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in hair styling (and beauty services, although not essential) with a flair for creativity and an eye for detail. As a Senior Stylist, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service while providing a range of treatments, including cutting /styling long and short hair, colour services, keratin smoothing, perming, gents hair, manicure, pedicure, waxing, lash/brow tinting, spay tanning, facial treatments.
The ability to work as a team including reception duties and the upkeep of professional health and hygiene standards is a must.
Your ability to communicate effectively and build rapport with clients and team members will be essential in ensuring satisfaction and loyalty.
Duties
Provide professional hair styling services, including cutting, colouring, styling, hair-up, perming, keratin smoothing and men's hair to meet client needs.
Perform manicure, pedicure, waxing, lash/brown tinting, spray tanning, facials (not a necessity)
Maintain a welcoming front desk environment, assisting clients with appointments and inquiries.
Demonstrate excellent customer service skills by actively listening to client preferences and providing tailored recommendations.
Engage in advising clients about services or products to enhance the overall client experience.
Mentor junior stylists or trainees, sharing knowledge and techniques to foster their development.
Assist in store management tasks as needed, ensuring the salon operates smoothly and efficiently.
Keep workstations clean and organised while adhering to health and safety standards.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Senior Stylist or in a similar role within the hair and beauty industry.
A Senior Stylist with a stable client following will be reflected in the pay grade
Excellent customer service skills with a focus on client satisfaction.
Previous mentoring experience is beneficial for those looking to support new team members.
Certification or training in eyelash or nail extension application would be an advantage but not essential.
