As we continue to reflect on recent weeks at Willowbrook, we’re reminded of some truly lovely moments shared together.

Mother’s Day was celebrated with a beautiful afternoon tea, complete with delicious treats, wonderful company and a fantastic singer who created a warm and joyful atmosphere for everyone to enjoy.

We also marked St Patrick’s Day with a lively celebration, bringing a real party feel to the home with music, laughter and plenty of smiles all round.

It’s always so special to look back on these occasions, where residents, families and staff come together to celebrate and create lasting memories. 😊

As we continue to look back at recent celebrations at Willowbrook, it’s been lovely to reflect on some of the special moments we’ve shared together over the past few weeks.

Pancake Day was enjoyed by all, with plenty of freshly made pancakes and a wide selection of toppings to choose from. There were lots of smiles as everyone created their perfect combination and enjoyed a sweet treat together.

We also welcomed Chinese New Year with a beautiful display of decorations and a delicious selection of traditional foods, creating a vibrant and enjoyable experience for residents.

These moments are always so special, bringing everyone together to try new things, share experiences and enjoy time with one another. 😊

As we look back over the year so far, one highlight has to be our Valentine’s Day celebration.

Residents enjoyed a wonderful party filled with music, laughter and great company. We were joined by a fantastic singer who created a brilliant atmosphere, with many residents singing along and even getting up for a dance.

It was a really special afternoon, bringing everyone together to celebrate, reminisce and enjoy the moment.

A lovely memory and one we’re still smiling about. 🎶💖

Today at Willowbrook, we’re taking a moment to celebrate Mother’s Day and send warm wishes to everyone who is marking the day.

For many, it’s a time to celebrate mums, grandmothers, and the special women who have played a caring role in our lives. It can also be a time to remember loved ones and reflect on the moments and memories we hold close.

However the day is being spent – celebrating, remembering, or simply enjoying time together – we are thinking of everyone and wishing you a peaceful and happy Mother’s Day. 💐

The smell of freshly baked scones filled the home this week as residents enjoyed a lovely baking session together.

Everyone got involved mixing, measuring and sharing their baking tips, before sitting down to enjoy the delicious scones once they were ready. Of course, they were served the proper way – with jam and cream and a nice cup of tea.

Baking is always a wonderful activity, bringing back fond memories and creating the perfect opportunity to spend time together.

A very enjoyable afternoon and the scones were certainly a big hit!

Residents at Willowbrook have recently been enjoying some quiet time completing puzzles. Jigsaw puzzles are a wonderfully peaceful activity, offering a chance to relax while keeping the mind gently active.

Working on puzzles helps support concentration, problem-solving skills and hand–eye coordination and it’s also a lovely way to spend time together in a calm and friendly setting. There’s always a great sense of achievement when the final piece is placed!

Simple, meaningful activities like this are a valued part of daily life at Willowbrook, helping residents stay engaged while enjoying moments of calm and companionship.

Residents have been enjoying a variety of engaging activities designed to stimulate the senses, encourage movement and bring everyone together. The sensory pads have been a wonderful way to support focus and relaxation, offering different textures and colours to explore at a comfortable pace.

There has also been plenty of friendly competition with card games and the ever-popular throwing hoop game, which encourages gentle exercise, coordination and lots of laughter along the way. Activities like these provide great opportunities for social interaction while helping to maintain both physical and cognitive wellbeing .

Recently at Willowbrook 🍽️

Some of the residents recently enjoyed a lovely trip out for a meal, taking the opportunity to spend time together in a relaxed and welcoming setting. The outing was filled with good conversation, laughter and, of course, some delicious food -especially the desserts, which were a real highlight of the day!

Trips like these provide a wonderful chance to enjoy new surroundings, socialise with friends and create meaningful moments together.

Recently at Willowbrook, residents have been enjoying a lovely mix of music and creativity. Some residents spent time playing the keyboard, filling the home with familiar tunes and creating a relaxed, uplifting atmosphere, while others enjoyed getting involved in craft sessions, exploring colours, textures and different creative ideas.

Activities like these are a wonderful way to encourage self-expression, support wellbeing and bring people together to share enjoyable moments throughout the day.

Recently at Willowbrook, residents have been enjoying some relaxing Valentine’s Day colouring activities. Taking time to colour is a wonderfully calming way to unwind, allowing creativity to flow while providing a gentle sense of focus and mindfulness.

🎤🕺 Elvis Has Entered the Building at Willowbrook! 💃🎶

Willowbrook was rocking recently as an Elvis impersonator came to perform for everyone. From the very first song, the room was filled with smiles, singing and dancing as residents joined in with some much-loved classics.

The music brought back wonderful memories, lifted spirits and created a fantastic atmosphere throughout the home. It was lovely to see so many people clapping along, singing every word and enjoying the moment together.

A brilliant afternoon that was truly loved by all 🎶💙
