7 years of sleep deprivation and counting 🤣🤣🤣
Here's to the often-overlooked mums with wakeful TODDLERS. Still waking every hour or two.
The ones for whom the fourth trimester seems to have spilled out into the 5th, 6th, or more like 10th.
The ones with an eternal newborn whose very immediate need for you has never. let. up.
The ones for whom the nights are still as challenging as they were way back on day one, whilst the days grow ever-challenging too with the added dimension of toddlerdom.
The ones who feel guilty that they are still not enjoying it as they should.
The ones who no longer discuss how their night was.
The ones for whom sympathy waned long ago.
The ones who are looked upon as lazy if they nap when baby naps, because, well, he's not a baby anymore.
The ones who "really should have sorted this out by now."
The ones whose tiredness has accumulated over months and years so that it is now just part of them.
The ones who feel like the world has passed them by and that they will never find their way out of this sleep-deprived fog.
SLEEP IS COMING FOR YOU SOON.
