At Advanced First Aid Perth, we are proud to be a family-run medical provider — but more importantly, we are proud of the standard of care we deliver to every single client and patient, every time.
Being family-run doesn’t mean hierarchy or entitlement. Within our company, nobody is “above” anyone. Every role matters, every voice is heard, and every person is treated with respect. That culture is exactly why our management team continues to earn — and keep — the trust of our clients and, just as importantly, the trust of our colleagues on the ground delivering care.
However, as we continue to grow within this industry, there are a few ongoing trends that genuinely concern us.
We see “big” names publicly positioning themselves as champions of patient safety — yet in practice, that commitment is not always clear or consistent. Patient safety should never be a slogan or a marketing angle. It should be visible in staffing decisions, clinical standards, governance, and day-to-day operations. If safety is truly the priority, it should speak for itself — not require constant promotion. 👀
We also see companies treating staff and contractors as numbers rather than people. In healthcare, compassion cannot stop at the patient — it must extend to the professionals providing that care. Burnout, disengagement, and poor outcomes don’t happen in isolation. The world already carries enough negativity and division; leadership should reduce that burden, not add to it.
Another growing concern is the rise of medical companies posting “educational” content without clear limitations or context. Public education absolutely has its place and, when done responsibly, can be incredibly valuable. However, there is a fine line between awareness and instruction. When complex medical information is oversimplified or shared without safeguards, it can be misinterpreted or acted upon by untrained members of the public — potentially causing harm rather than preventing it. Patient safety includes knowing where that line is, and respecting it.
It genuinely saddens us that, in an industry where professionalism is so frequently claimed, some companies are quick to pursue clients through questionable practices, undermining existing providers. Yes, this is a business, and bringing in clientele is part of that. But attempting to secure work by discrediting others does not reflect professionalism, integrity, or confidence. It doesn’t shine a good light on our industry as a whole.
We believe healthcare should be about working with one another, not against each other. About partnerships, friendships, and trust — not back-and-forth pettiness. The communities we serve deserve better than rivalry disguised as concern.
At Advanced First Aid Perth, we choose to do things differently. We prioritise people over profit, integrity over image, and real-world standards over polished branding. We believe professionalism means accountability, transparency, and consistency — not just when someone is watching, but at all times.
In this industry, kindness toward each other is much needed. That’s why we’re putting this message out there — to be at the forefront and encourage others in our field to spread kindness, support each other, and raise the standard for everyone. 💙
Healthcare is built on trust. And trust is earned through actions — not claims.
If you value a medical provider that genuinely cares, puts people first, and delivers the highest standard of care without drama or shortcuts, contact Advanced First Aid Perth today. Your clients, your team, and your patients deserve nothing less. 🚑💙
