Sorry, but the class will stop permanently on Sept 10, 2024. Too few people have been coming. It is such a shame as Tai Chi is such a good exercise system for health and wellbeing.

The Tai Chi/Chi Kung (Qigong) class continues all summer on Tuesdays at 5.30 ( except July 16th).
If you are unsure about doing the Tai Chi form itself, just come to the first hour for the Chi Kung section. We do Tai Chi type moves, but as individual exercises, so they are easier to follow. These Chinese style movements relax the mind and gently exercise the body. The whole class is done standing - with short breaks. There is no floor-work.
Come and join our small friendly class, and enjoy active relaxion.

We start at 5.30 and do Chi Kung (Qigong) - easy to follow exercises - for an hour. It is better if new people do just this section unless you have done the Tai Chi form before. They are very beneficial. The next 30 minutes is the 24 step Tai Chi form.
You MUST bring clean shoes or clean socks to change into. It is not allowed to work in barefeet or in socks you have been wearing. The room is big & airy & it is possible to do the Chi Kung & Tai Chi socially distanced. Please bring your own water.
These gentle exercises should be just what you need to improve your health, & help you relax. They include exercises for the lungs which greatly benefit your health if you do them frequently

If your New Year resolution is to do more exercise to get healthier, this Tai Chi Chi Kung class is just what you need. The gentle, easy to follow exercises are a simple way to strengthen your body and make it more supple. It helps you breathe deeper, which supports your overall health. You need strong calf muscles to help pump blood back to your heart, that way your heart doesn't have to do so much work. Also, its aim is to work on increasing the flow of Chi - life force energy - round the body, almost like giving yourself an acupressure session !

It looks as if the Perth Yoga Studio will be able to reopen on 27th July. So my Tai Chi class will restart on Tuesday 28th July. The format will be the same as previously. 5.30 to 6.30 Chi Kung (Qigong) - easy to follow Tai Chi style exercises. 6.30 to 7 Tai Chi form practice for all ( but it is ok to do just the Chi Kung hour); 7 to 7.30 practice for advanced students.
