At the Walled Garden, we have found joy in up cycling old palettes into benches to enjoy in the garden in the warmer weather. ☀️🪑

We had great fun at the Perth and Kinross Mental Health and Wellbeing Festival over the weekend. Lyndsey and the clients had a wonderful trip down to the concert hall. They enjoyed exploring and chatting to various local services who had stalls there. Laura and Chloe also had fun chatting to everyone at The Walled Garden & Wisecraft stall. It was lovely to see the community come together for such a worthy cause 💚🧠💐🤝

Get ready for a cosy craft night in The Walled Garden café. We will be making beautiful jewellery pieces with beads, wire and metal craft tools. During the activity we will serve our three winter themed mocktails, which are: ‘Cranberry Orange Sparkler’, a ‘Pomegranate cinnamon mocktail’ and a ‘blackcurrent frost shot’. Please note this is a dry event and suitable for 16+.

Volunteering can bring you joy!👋

Helping others activates the brains' reward system releasing "happy chemicals" creating a "helpers high" that reduces stress and boosts mood. 🥰

Our cafe is a vital part of our service in which we help support clients learn new skills and build confidence whilst serving the public to raise funds for our charity.
We rely on our wonderful volunteers to help us do this and due to upcoming cafe expansion we are looking for more individuals who would like to help out a few hours per week on a Wednesday, Thursday or Friday. Some hospitality experience is desired but not essential as training will be provided.

Susan, is one of our valued volunteers in the cafe and we welcomed her back this week after our Christmas break. We asked Susan what she likes about volunteering with us and she said...

'I get a lot from volunteering at the Walled Garden cafe. The folks are great and there's lots of different tasks to do.'
