How much lysine do weaner pigs really need?

In our latest study, we evaluated the effects of increasing dietary SID lysine from 1.05% to 1.54% in more than 2,400 weaned piglets.

Growth performance improved linearly across all levels, with no plateau reached, showing that optimal performance requires at least 1.54% SID lysine in wheat–barley–soybean-based diets.
