The hardest part of what we do is saying goodbye. 💙

At Bluebird Care Peterborough & Oundle, we’re honoured to be there for our customers and their families — especially through end-of-life care. It’s a privilege to offer comfort, compassion, and dignity during those final moments.

Recently, we said farewell to one of our much-loved customers, and her husband’s kind words and thoughtful gesture of flowers reminded us just how meaningful our work truly is. 🌷

Bailey belongs to customer DN’s grandson and loves spending time visiting during the day — bringing lots of smiles (and tail wags!) along the way.

Dogs make such wonderful companions for older people — they offer comfort, reduce loneliness, and bring a sense of joy and calm to the home. Sometimes, a little four-legged company is the best kind there is ❤️🐶

Theresa has been a wonderful member of our Live-In Care Team, supporting customers in their own homes — including couples, those living with dementia, and customers with complex care needs.

Did you know? Today is National Stress Awareness Day! 💙
Recognising physical signs of stress is important in helping to recover from it.
When we face a stressful situation, the body produces stress hormones. These hormones then trigger a response, fight or flight, as well as activating our immune system, to help us deal with dangerous situations. Sometimes this response is helpful, it can help us push beyond our ‘normal’ capabilities.
However too much stress, too often can cause negative effects, leaving us overwhelmed, and long-term affecting our physical and mental health.
Whether you’re a carer, customer, or loved one - remember to pause, breathe, and find small moments of calm.
