Sometimes a little bit of harsh reality is needed.

In the UK, the aesthetics industry is hugely unregulated which unfortunately means that anyone can pick up a syringe and inject your face.

Scary, I know!

Being a medical professional, I will always put patient safety first and this means being open and honest with you.

I am not one for following trends because I believe all treatments that I offer should be backed by evidence and research, so I will say no if a treatment isn’t right for you.

I want to protect your face just as much, if not more, as you should!

What are your thoughts on the aesthetics industry in the UK?

Rosacea is more than surface redness, it’s a chronic inflammatory skin condition with different clinical patterns.

There are four main types:
1. Erythematotelangiectatic (ETR) -
Persistent facial redness with visible blood vessels, often linked to increased vascular sensitivity.

2. Papulopustular -
Redness with inflammatory bumps and pustules (often mistaken for acne).

3. Phymatous -
Skin thickening and irregular texture, most commonly affecting the nose.

4. Ocular -
Involves the eyes causing dryness, irritation, and redness of the eyelids or ocular surface.

Common features:
• Flushing and sensitivity
• Flare-ups triggered by heat, stress, alcohol, or spicy foods
• Impaired skin barrier and inflammation

Management of Rosacea focuses on reducing triggers, protecting the skin barrier, and controlling inflammation with appropriate skincare and medical treatment where needed.

Do you suffer with Rosacea and need help with managing it?
Send us a DM with the word Rosacea and let us help you start protecting your skin.

Clear skin isn’t luck… it’s good habits.

You can buy all the skincare in the world, but if you’re still doing this, your skin won’t change:
🚫 Picking your skin
🚫 Ignoring your SPF all year round
🚫 Buying products because they’re trending
🚫 Using make up wipes
🚫 Changing your skin care too frequently
🚫 Not being consistent

Consistency = Clearer Skin.

Every. single. time.

Clear skin isn’t about doing more…
It’s about doing the right things consistently.

💬 Be honest, what’s one habit you need to stop?

A little bit about me…

My biggest achievement by far is my beautiful children. Do they sometimes drive me round the bend? YES! But that’s what the spa days are for!
Also recently a proud dog mum to our gorgeous Cavapoo🐾

I started my business 5 years ago, nursing in the NHS became a place I didn’t want to be anymore and my focus had shifted. I’m so grateful it led me to Beautiful Aesthetics!

I am no chef but love to bake, brownies are my specialty!

Slightly obsessed with tattoos. It’s true, once you start, you can’t stop!

Gemini through and through ♊️ where are my fellow Gemini’s?

Running my own business, building dreams and having fun along the way ✨
Full of life, a little chaotic, but always real 🫶

Thinking about chasing your dreams? Do it!

Weight loss injections (GLP-1 medications) can lead to significant fat loss, but this can also influence how your skin looks and feels.

What is the link with collagen?
Collagen is the protein that keeps skin firm, elastic, and youthful. When weight is lost quickly, especially from the face and body, a few things can happen:

• Loss of underlying fat support – Fat sits beneath the skin and helps keep it smooth and plump. When it reduces quickly, the skin may appear looser.

• Collagen fibres become more noticeable – With less volume underneath, existing collagen structures can’t support the skin as effectively.

• Age-related collagen decline becomes more visible – After around age 25–30, collagen production naturally decreases each year. Rapid weight loss can make this loss more noticeable.

• Skin may struggle to tighten – If collagen and elastin levels are already low, the skin may not contract fully after fat loss.

Ways to support collagen during weight loss:

✔️ Eat adequate protein to support collagen formation.
✔️ Ensure vitamin C, zinc, and amino acids in your diet.
✔️ Strength training to support tissue structure.
✔️ Use retinoids and antioxidants in skincare.
✔️ Consider collagen-stimulating treatments, such as, Microneedling & Profhilo.

Healthy weight loss is great for the body, but supporting collagen helps the skin keep up with the change.

If you’ve had rapid weight loss and find you’re struggling with your skin, send us a DM to see how we can help.

As winter fades, your skin goes through a natural transition.

Cold weather and indoor heating can weaken the skin barrier, leading to dryness, sensitivity, and slower cell turnover.

When spring arrives, increased humidity, warmer temperatures, and more sunlight begin to rebalance the skin.

Whilst maintaining a good home skin care routine and daily SPF, aesthetic treatments can help your skin adjust.

In clinic treatments such as,
• HydrO2facial – deeply cleanses, exfoliates, and infuses the skin with hydration and antioxidants to revive dull winter skin.

• Chemical Peels (light/medical grade) – gently remove the buildup of dead skin cells from winter, improving texture, brightness, and tone.

• Medical Grade Microneedling – stimulates collagen production and encourages natural skin renewal, helping to smooth texture and improve overall skin health.

• Skin Boosters – restore deep hydration levels within the skin for a plumper, more radiant appearance.

• LED Light Therapy – supports skin repair, reduces inflammation, and boosts collagen while helping calm post-winter sensitivity.

Spring is the perfect moment to focus on skin health first, creating a clear, hydrated canvas before the summer months.

If you’re ready for your Spring Reset, get in touch via our booking link in bio or send us a DM.

One of the biggest misconceptions is that treatments alone will fix your skin.

While clinic treatments can stimulate collagen and target concerns, what you do at home every day plays a huge role in maintaining and accelerating those results.

Professional treatments + the correct home skincare routine = the best results.

Consistency is key when it comes to healthy, glowing skin ✨

If you’re unsure where to start with skincare products, let’s talk about it.
Send us a DM or next time you’re in clinic we can look at your skincare and get you on the right path.

“I can’t believe that’s what it looks like”

I keep hearing this when patients come to have moles/lesions assessed through the Map My Mole service.

And it truly is fascinating.

The camera lens allows us to see:
• the overall size and shape
• the location on the body
• any changes over time
• the surrounding skin

Whereas the Dermatoscope lens allows us to assess:
• tiny structures inside the mole
• pigment patterns
• irregular borders or colors
• better screening for conditions like Melanoma

If you have a mole or lesion that you’re worried about, please send us a DM or WhatsApp on 07595719302.

Stop the judgement ✋🏻

Some people age naturally.
Some people choose injectables.
Neither deserves judgement.
Confidence looks different on everyone.

Let’s normalise not judging what makes someone else feel good.
